I'm lazy, so work doesn't come easily, but I've just been on the phone to a friend in Bangkok and I have an interview on Thursday for a job at a school, starting in May for the new school term.

Cool huh?

Only 29,000 baht a month excluding bonuses, but that's not so bad.

If I get it I'm going to take my wife to the beach for a week or two to relax.

Damn, I'm so happy. Just hope I can make the right impression. I was expecting to get a new suit out there before applying and going to interviews. This is all happening so quickly.

Well, it's only about £435 a month sterling. I don't know the conversion to US dollars.


"BUT" edit: Considering my wife was making 7000 baht a month in her last job as a receptionist, and the average Thai wage is probably under 10,000 baht, it's pretty good.

My Aussie brother-in-law has a 2 bedroom apartment for 10,000 a month so I think we're going to move in and pay half. He's on 50,000!
