I saw this last night on Directv and even for a Disney movie it was horrible. The music was shit. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

No offence to Rodeo, but wasn't he the same guy that liked to watch Honey Boo Boo?? We all know where that show is now and what those folks are really like.

No offense taken and yes - I was a big fan of that family. But maybe not now, if it turns out the stories about June seeing a man that molested her oldest daughter is true. And it looks like they are.. :(Regardless, "Blended" is a great movie! In truth, I'm a big fan of both Sandler and Barrymore, so I'm sure I'll like the movie too.

Bjork: Biophilia Live 5/5
An excellent concert film by Bjork and a women's choir with a guy on keyboards and a guy on drums.

This was the last movie I saw. I agree, as with a lot of promising films, it verges on collapsing under its own weight in the final act, but it offers some very good performances and a refined look at race and other subjects in America. One of the better and most "laugh out loud" enjoyable movies I've seen this year. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Fast and Loose (1954) You know those misunderstanding farces that wouldn't even qualify as a short had there been even the briefest stint with sanity? Sometimes life gives you a smelly antique cheese server and you make a tabletop pillow out of it. 3/5 [Good] [Netflix streamer]

Skeleton Twins 4/5
Ultimately it's a pretty run of the mill indie film, but the I like the two leads so much, and I felt that they did such a great job crossing over into legitimate acting, that it was immensely enjoyable for me. And unlike a Jim Carrey drama where you just wait for him to be funny and he's not, both of these actors still flexed their comedy muscles quite a bit. My Legacy

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and-if he has his way-every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It's enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop...except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O'Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen's world apart. -- (C) Warner Bros

Agree with you about the film, but comedy acting is legitimate acting.

I finally had someone explain to me the big whoop about this movie vs all the other girl empowerment movies that are popular now. Im kind of satisfied with they're explanation. Change out w*tch for b and you have a lot of today's attitudes of women who step way out of the norm and nobody found prince charming just after meeting the guy once which was different for a Disney movie.

i suppose you're right, and I certainly respect comedy. What I meant was that they are exploring more genuine emotional territory for the first time. My Legacy

Children of the Century 1/5
This is a French film with Juliette Binoche. Normally I love her, but in this movie her character was not believeable. Probably the screenwriter's fault.

Birdman (2014)
Highly anticipated, unconventionally shot, well-scored, with a tour-de-force performance by Michael Keaton and great turns by Emma Stone, Edward Norton, Naomi Watts and the underused Amy Ryan. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
