i was talking to someone at work recently and she said that she wasnt keen on religion and religious

cults,this lady is a big elvis fan and she was talking about going to visit graceland,i started thinking

that being an elvis fan is more or less the same as following a religious cult,obviously kids are being

taught by their parents to like certain artists in the same way that religion is passed down through

generations,if you read any forums on the internet the general opinion seems to be that religion is

just brainwashing and is generally in decline,i have had an uneasy feeling that pop music is now

almost like a world religion,the bbc is brainwasing us with pop on all their programmes bombarding us

with endless coverage of festivals which show the youth of today as nothing more than barbaric drunken savages,all this stuff might sound strange on a music forum but i just feel that after being a

pop fan all my life that theres something not quite right about it.
