Ok I get that this thread was probably supoosed to be all funny and shit...seriously though, I never understood why it's supposedly so bad for a man to cry in most situations. I hate that society sees it as a sign of weakness and most men do also. Give me a man who will cry and actually show his emotions any day over a 'macho macho man' who hides it all inside and turns almost every sexual encounter into just a 'fuck the shit out of her' romp. Just my opinion and just how I roll.
The only times I've let loose was when I lost my mother and when my father was in the hospital. Besides those extreme cases, I feel a man has to be in control of his emotions (even if it's killing him on the inside), a rock for his family. My dad's like that, and I followed his example. Gotta suck it up and be a man - life taught me mfers will take advantage of you if you show weakness. |

Oh I get it...and that's what's so sad about it. Who says you can't be 'a rock' with visible emotions? Society is so screwed up...

I always thought that was a movie construct; a scene where a woman cries after sex. But anything is possible given certain circumstances.

That belief is the reason why dudes shoot up schools and workplaces. When you have no outlet for that shit and society makes you feel like less of a man because of it, that's the kind of stuff that happens.

Actually I've made a couple women cry after sex, but at first, I thought it was because I hit their cervix or something. |

Or maybe you just haven't had that mind-blowing, aching, over-the-moon-around-the-world deep, intense, one-of-a-kind not to be matched sex. I've cried and had the man I was with cry also. Guess you had to be there.
See. I knew that was next. Naw, that isn't the reason. I just know everybody isn't cut from the same cloth nor do they follow the same script. For those that do no shame, for those that don't no shame. |

I'm of the opinion that the entire world could use more emotion, more sensitivity, and a whole lot more love. Tears/crying are a natural human emotion and should be used more often...not suppressed. I mean, if you're not moved to tears after making love (not fucking the shit out of someone) then what's the point? "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack |

Unfortunately this is true and has been proven time and time again.
Of the 62 mass shootings since 1982, only one was perpetrated by a woman...
How does the psychology of a pseudocommando [mass murder] relate to maleness? One theory is that the social construct of male identity — what it means to be a man — is more vulnerable to slights and challenges than the female's. Men are taught from a young age that successful males "exert social dominance, achieve a high social status, command respect, and demonstrate authority," say Christopher A.D. Charles and Deniese Kennedy-Kollar at The Southwest Journal of Criminal Justice. Men are also taught to value economic independence and sexual success. Holmes, Cho, and Lanza seem to have failed in some or all of these respects, possibly opening the door to injuries, perceived or real, that gnawed at their troubled minds.

I find that men who refuse to cry or let their true emotions show tend to be the weakest type of men. There is nothing strong about holding it all in. It is cowardly and not a sign of a strong character.
But I'm not sure why someone would cry when having sex other than what Dave mentioned. |

Had three men bawl like babies in front of me... I'm talking snot running, spit bubble mouth ugly crying... ( two occasions while having sex and not the same as that crying).
It was awkward to say the least... two of these 3 men were VERY masculine men who shocked the hell outta me. One was all bitchy and it was sorta expected because he was a whiny mofo.

I had to develop a heart of stone growing up in the South Bronx. It's a matter of survival. You'll have a hard time if others regard you as "soft".
I can understand letting yourself go over the loss of a loved one, but dudes who blubber over the slightest thing and can't themselves in a crisis? Please.... [Edited 11/17/14 19:48pm] |

If you cry, cool, but the automatic labeling of anybody who doesn't react or act as you define is just a bit unsettling. Reminds me, I had one man TRY to make me so into him to cry or something, it was stressful more than anything else. Not good. I know women who say they like to laugh and play during sex they say that's when its the best, see, no crying doesn't mean going at it like a battering ram all the time. I don't get that whole there's only one way to be idea. |

I could also see pleading and crying FOR sex. Although, that probably wont get you any. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |
