NFL 2014 First Half Season Thread Well, my favorite time of the year is 24 fucking hours away - I am ready for FOOTBALL!
Unfortunately, it'll be another disappointing year for my Giants - no o-line, garbage tight ends, weak pass rush, Eli's struggling with this new offense and our number one draft pick Odell Beckham (who was supposed to be our deep threat) can't stay healthy. I predict 7-9....fuck.
In other news, Dallas signed Michael Sam to the practice squad, and Wes Welker's suspended four games for taking a banned substance - damn. |

Well the giants went 5-0 in pre-season. Maybe your defense will save you guys this year. |

There should be an investigation if Philly doesn't win the east. The rest of the division sucks.
Damn, Seattle laid the smackdown on Green Bay (without Richarg Sherman making any big plays). They haven't missed a beat. |

Russell Wilson is the new stud qb in the league. He's just unflappable like
Tom Brady was early in his career and constantly makes big play after big
play. I remember seeing him play his first game as a college freshman at
NC State against South Carolina. Even though they lost you could see this
guy was something special. Don't laugh at my funk

I didn't get a chance to see the game tonight, I'll look at it later.
But I'm always happy when anyone beats the Packers. Judging by the score, someone got spanked... oh that feels so good.
I hate admit it but I think the Packers will win the Black & Blue division. I'm not a Cutler fan, and I don't think he's worth the money the Bears threw at him. I hope he can stay healthy for an entire season, that would be a start. Yet, he's the guy that's taking my team to dance, so I gotta dance. We shall see, hoping for the best but not expecting a lot.
Well my lil phunkdaddy, its time to pop the tops off of our Samual Adams; if you are game, try Ginger Bear and Bourbon. I 'd advise you have some food on the stomach before you drink the latter; the objective is to look and remember the game(s) you are watching. I guess will do a lil trash talkiin' as the season takes shape... cheers!

tampa bay buccaneers
I really don't like that they made the flag so HUGE on the helmet. It was fine the way it was

Besides our Steelers those Unis used to be my second favorite. I don't know what the hell the Jags are doing with those hideous things. I was blinded by them last season. Don't laugh at my funk

Well I don't have any problems with the uniforms it's just I think the flag was better the way it was. I'm guessing you like the old orange look right?? Maybe that's the jags plan is to blind everyone. [Edited 9/5/14 14:03pm] |

Russell Wilson just OOZES leadership. He may not have the physical gifts of Colin Kaepernick or RGIII, but he understands the QB positon better. |

Lite beer? Are trying to watch our waist line / figure.
All kidding aside, check out Bud Platinum Lite... very smooth tasting beer. But it does have a "kick" to it. How do you feel about your Steelers this year?

Bud Platinum lite Tried it at a friend's house last season. I had
3 and woke up with a buzz. It's like drinking Malt Liquor. Once. No more.
The Steelers I remain optimistic as long as number 7 is behind center but
the fact of the matter is simple. If they can't win in the trenches on both sides of the ball and get pushed around it will be a long season in Pittsburgh not to mention they are very weak and thin at CB. Don't laugh at my funk

And the Cowboys went 0-5 in the preseason. Could this be a prediction of how the NFC East will unfold this year or will the Eagles do it again? Man, remember when the NFC East used to be a force to be reckoned with? LOL Trolls be gone! |

Even though they lost that preseason game against Seattle, the Packers did look pretty good. It crossed my mind that they might get to the Superbowl. It's funny how as soon as a season starts we are relieved that it starts but then immediately start talking about the end of the season (Super Bowl) Trolls be gone! |

Not arguing with you here but I'm just curious about why you think this is the case. I'm a HUGE Kaepernick fan but always open to hearing other opinions. I also like Russ a lot, so I'm good either way Trolls be gone! |

By the way, who do you guys think will be the halftime show performer this year? I wish it was Bruno Mars again. Man, he killed it! But, I think this year it's gonna be Bon Jovi. It seems like it's their time to do the big show once and for all. Trolls be gone! |

Yeah I think the Packers can make it to the Superbowl. Some say the Packers have the best QB in the league (NFC for sure). |

I read somewhere the NFL wants the performer to pay to perform in the super bowl half time show. I know Jon Bon Jovi is trying to buy the Bills and move them to Canada. But after alot of negative press about that now Jon Bon Jovi says he won't move the team if he becomes part owner of the Bills. |

You know, I had always suspected that the NFL had those folks pay to play, so to speak so this news about them "demanding" payment from performers doesn't surprise me. I guess they are just being a bit more bold about the fact that they want cash! I think Bon Jovi buying the Bills and moving them would have been a bad move, literally. Glad he backed off the idea. That's the only NFL team that have within 100 miles in that city! LOL! Trolls be gone! |
