Guilty Pleasures: Revisited

Okay, we've done this topic before, but its time for people to confess once again! Name Your Guilty Pleasures!!!

Tell us all those things that you like, in spite of the fact that you know that they're bad! Music, movies, TV whatever!

Okay, I'll be brave and tell a couple of mine!

I used to watch Beverly Hills 90210 faithfully!

I bought the Dixie Chicks album as a sort of free speech statement, and have found I really enjoy it!

I kinda like some of those romantic comedies like Sleepless In Seattle & When Harry Met Sally.

Okay, I doubt any of you have anything more shameful than those three! C'mon, be brave! Dare to confess those examples of your own bad taste! Who here has the sack to admit that they actually like some shitty stuff?

P.S. You don't have to defend these things. Sure, people might mock you, but I guarantee they have skeletons in their taste closet as well! The whole point it that we know this stuff is bad, and that our lack of taste is indefensible!

Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I like covering myself in talcum powder before I sleep because it smells nice and keeps the mosquitos away.

I like watching crappy animal sports movies because they're completely brainless and ridiculous.

I secretly eat that fizzy candy that crackles in your mouth. I hide it in the room and eat it when my wife is out. She says it's bad for my teeth but I love it. big grin

Here are some:

I like John Denver music... Annie's Song sigh had planned on seeing him in concert. sad

Silver screen starlets are my heros. They had beauty, balls, and class.

Cecile B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments is one of my favorite all-time movies.

Shirley Temple still rocks!

Oh, the John Denver one is really good! My parents really love his music, so I grew up hearing a whole lot of his stuff (along with Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand *shudder*)

IMHO talking animals (real ones - not cartoons) are some of the funniest things I have ever seen. I'm probably the only person over the age of six that got a kick out of the movie "Cats and Dogs"! err

Funny that someone should mention Lisa Lisa. I just recently made a disc called 'Junior High Bitches' and it has all sorts of guilty pleasures that I still love to this day. Folks like Lisa Lisa, Taylor Dayne, Pretty Poison, Jody Watley, T'pau, Samantha Fox, Pebbles, Belinda Carlisle, The Bangles. You gotta love it.
