What a horrible experience for that girl - glad she's safe! It would have been scary for her!!!!! Aside from that; what really freaks me out about the photo is the fact that someone stood there taking it and not doing anything to help that girl out!!!! ... amateurish about the way this was handled. Sure, the officers present almost certainly had on vests -- and the officer tasked with accessing the roof had to take up a certain vulnerability -- but it's unbelievable how susceptibly the officers positioned themselves throughout this ordeal. Supposing a suspect had been armed inside the home and hidden just at the corner of a window, he could have taken out at least a cop or two with a well placed shot before fire was returned.
