Terry Gilliam Zero Theorum I can't tell if the laboured sci-fi introduction and the pointless bitter end of everything might have been better served by somebody other than Christophe Waltze.
Mister CW has been so hot recently with the whole Tarantino inclusion but I find his casting somewhat misplaced - like deliberately throwing an actor into a situation and then that would be the making of the entire film essentially not building to nothing.
Which is the point of the entire film.
Really leaves you neither hot nor cold but just indifferent and not angry and plentifully not bothered.
I remember leaving the cinema in 1996 thinking "thank christ and the clear blue sky and the sun that this is still here"
and with the Zero Theorum Gilliam has taken that away from us. Christophe Waltz cast as the man that re-adjusts the sun, never getting it back.
A token of bland.
