My all time favorite actress....I have adored her since I was a little girl. Next to my mother I thought she was the most beautiful lady in the whole world.

I always admired her unique style, exquisite beauty and her ability to be a lady and a broad at the same time. Most women cannot pull that off.

RIP, Slim.... heart

Yep.

I'll check around for the PBS Charlie Rose Show. Mr. Rose's interviewed Ms. Bacall half a dozen times during the course of her life. Mr. Rose is pretty good at reairing interviews of people he's had on his show, after people they've passed.

For those who don't know, she "discovered" Kirk Douglas and gave him his break in films.

These are my favorite Lauren Becall movies.

Designing Woman

Written In The Wind (classic melo-drama)

To Have And Have Not

Sex And the Single Girl

Harper

Aww, wow. Two of my all-time favorite people...gone in just two days. My heart is so heavy right now. sad

The first movie I saw Lauren Bacall in was "How To Marry A Millionaire" with Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable and I was instantly hooked and wanted more. Her presence was quite regal and very streetwise, which I adored about her but always elegant and classy...something that is sorely missing in today's Hollywood and with her passing, it can certainly be said, it's an end of an era.

Rest Well and In Love Ms. Bacall, I'm sure Bogey's very happy to see you again. rose

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

rose jesus, what a couple of days...

pray

if I'm not mistaken, she was the very last legend still alive of the Old Hollywood ('30s-'50s)

good actress, bigger star and above all a gorgeous woman with exotic features

---

and I swear I was thinking about her a couple of days ago, same happened with Robin Williams; this stuff happens to me continuosly...it's so common that I've grown to accept it as somewthing normal, and I'm sure millions of people out there have this very same experience as well...

Kirk Douglas will reach age 100, just like the late George Burns.

Just wait. wink

And then there were two (from Hollywood's golden age): Olivia de Havilland (98) and Maureen O'Hara (94).

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I started to post Madonna's vogue video because Lauren Bacall is the last to pass of the stars mentioned in the 1990 video. Only 7 of the 16 (?) had passed at the time.
