"Undergarment Implication" survey hey Org people:
I am very interested to have your opinion on the following: Please respond to any 1 or all of the following, or simply give a general comment, based on your own experience(s) or on things you've heard. 1. What is the implication or significance of giving an undergarment- boxers/briefs/panties/bra/lingerie/etc. to a PLUTONIC friend of the opposite sex as a gift? 2. What do you think if a PLUTONIC friend of the opposite sex gives you an undergarment as a gift? 3. What is the expectation (if any) if a person gives his/her spouse or boy/girl friend an undergarment? Thanks for your response(s)! I'll see you tonight..

"Plutonic" implies the gift may be from the planet (or star, as you wish) Pluto.
A "platonic" gift, however, implies a friendly but non-sexual/non-romantic gesture. I wouldn't give anyone I didn't know very well such an intimate garment, but that's just me.

That's so funny because the whole time I was reading that, I never even noticed it. That's so unlike me. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

PLUTONIC =
If it isn't joke underwear (glow in the dark, inflatable, etc), then it is more-than-friendly, IMHO. Except if you are a straight girl giving a close girlfriend undies. That's less weird. And if you accept a gift of underwear, you are expected to model it. That's the rules.

It's just common sense that if you give somebody underwear, it's 'cause you think they'd look good in it, and you want to see! I don't know. I don't make the rules.

thanks for your clarification, tackam;
your response fits a sort of "theory" I have about this issue.. for just a bit more clarity: have you tackam, ever given or received such a gift? please answer, or if you prefer, tell about someone you know who gave or received such a gift.. I'll see you tonight..

if some gives the opposite sex a gift of an undergarment..then yes more than just friendship is on the mind of the giver. and yes the receive is expected to model the gift...dah!!

I appreciate your comment..
but did you ever give or receive such a gift? Apparently, undergarments- like shoes & socks & sweaters & jeans & other articles of clothing- when given as gifts, are expected to be.. "modeled" by the recipient.. interesting. I'll see you tonight..

I've already learned not to do this. I'll give a gift certificate from Victoria's Secret (or wherever) instead. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
