It's been pretty good. But it's going to be vastly different in the second half, as BOTH kids go off to college this time, and we will be empty nesters. I'm going to be fine, but I bet my wife gets pretty weepy.
I've got one dang goal that should have been reached by now, but some injuries set me back. The injuries are recovered but getting back to the point where I can reach that goal is hard. I'm gonna get there, though!

Hmmm...
So far it hasn't been too bad.
-
I've seen 13 concerts this year, so I've been enjoying my live music experiences.
-
The end of the school year (Jan - June) was okay. My job is pretty challenging, so it was what it was supposed to be. Now I"m doing Summer School- only 7 days left.
-
A new relationship started to blossom, and although it's been positive, it hasn't been what I thought it was going to be.
-
Oh, and since March, I've lost over 30lbs.

How is your year going? You need to make sure your home doesn't become lonely for you and your wife because it's so difficult when your kids aren't there - especially when you've mostly been focusing on them for so many years Injuries mean u r over doing it so maybe the goals u set r perhaps too extreme - remember u r no longer a spring chicken! My health has been shit this year but I am still moving forward in my life and making the most of what I have I am over working and I feel drained - hopefully next year I won't need to work this hard I haven't done everything I've hoped to do and past the half way mark means next year looks promising mailto:www.iDon'tThinkSo.com.Uranus |

13 concerts is awesome - what a life !!! It must be hard not to have a proper income during your spring break - it really freaks me out how teachers in the USA don't get paid for this - how do they expect u to survive and have that desire to continue teaching??? It seems so unfare! One thing about meeting someone is no one is perfect or going to be ideal in every way - if you have feelings and u can b yourself around them and there r no hang ups - well then maybe u can iron out the little differences so the relationship can progress..... Mind u I'm probably the worst person to give relationship advice !!! mailto:www.iDon'tThinkSo.com.Uranus |

I pray you get your health back, and pronto! That's the most important thing, besides love.
Funny thing about the injuries - they were not related to weightlifting. All of them were compressions of the vertebrae, resulting in sciatic nerve pain. At one point, I would not have complained if a doctor said he was going to cut off my right leg. It hurt THAT bad.
But I've got a great chiropractor and he's fixed me every time. He's a former NHL player and a great athlete. He showed me exactly what moves did it (I know exactly when I did each one), and explained how proper weightlifiting will not do what I did to my back. FYI to old guys like me - NEVER pick up something and twist/turn at the same time!
I've always maintained excellent form weightlifting. Heck, I learned that the hard way when I was in my early 20's. Since then, I strive for perfect form in every rep. No cheating, no swaying or bouncing, and ALWAYS wear a belt. If I can't do a rep with perfect form, then I know I've got too much weight.
My benchpress is currently at 316 pounds, down from a February pre-injury high of 331 pounds. But I'll get back to 331 and then I'll bench 350. Hopefully before Labor Day!
I hope you get healthy!

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Okay, now I'll give a serious answer to your question, because this year so far has been quite eventful. But I have to go back to december last year, when my mother died. Pretty sad, but she lived to be 79 and didn't suffer. And left me with an inheritance that freed me from financial problems. And I decided, after these sad things, time to do something good. So I took a trip to South America and saw places like the Nazca lines and Macchu Picchu. And I discovered the Shamanistic world view through medicinal plants like ayahuasca and San Pedro. This surely changed my way of seeing things. Although it is hard to say how, I'm still working that out. [Edited 7/29/14 14:00pm] |

One of the strangest things happen to me this year.I got electric shock from battery charger in my leg back in February. All of sudden my VMO muscle, slightly above the knee started contracting and I was having problem with my left knee. That muscle was dead. Now it was working and started physiotherapy.I worked as an rehab aid, around therapist. My boss Nora gave me a specific exercise call TKE-Terminal Knee Extension,I tried this exercise briefly before my shock and wasn't getting results, but now I was getting results.Started to think that shock combined with therapy turned it around for me.I never did any treatments involving electric stimulation since way back, when I started having knee problems.
I started work last year and continue to have problems. At my job,I wheel patients all day long on wheelchairs, walk constantly,up and down stairs and my legs would be sore at the end of day.Now I ride my bike to and from work(90 miles a week)over 100 miles counting weekends during leisure time.NO PAIN! It's like Im 25 again.
I dunno why,but everything has broke my way this year.Im overwhelmed.A year earlier, was hospitalised at psyche ward for weeks.I skyrocketed to the moon in a year's time. What a ascendance. 2014-Year of the Parties |

i keep putting one foot in front of the other, and i'm hopeful for the future I was there where u r now about 18 months ago - sometimes even getting out of bed felt like the hardest thing to do and I never imagined that I could ever be happy There were so many obstacles and the hurt was simply unbearable but u know what??? LOL, will do. In fact, I've not gone Dexter on any frogs in quite a while. We've got our yard frog-proofed, or maybe the word finally got around the frog community that RodeoSchro's backyard is Frog Death.

Hmm...
It's a "dramedy", with a mid-30's, female protagonist. She has a cynical best friend who's a bit of a card. There is a love interest. Yada, yada, yada...
Difficult to say without giving too much away.
Thanks for asking!
P.S. org actin' weird, here. Don't know why it's blowing the letters up.
