Alright... serious gunsnhalen thread here. No jokes, no stan bashing, no talks about dirty stuff etc.

I went camping, hiking, and exploring in Utah for a a few days. I went with a group of about 60 or more... and i went on the hardest hike of my life. I was in a a very rocky river... no joke there were huge rocks everywhere in and around the river.

I do hikes quite a lot! and i swim as well... but the rocks were rough. I actually feel quite a few times while going across the river on the long hike. For a 6'5 guy, that was a long and somewhat painful fall

I'm very stubborn (like most men) and don't like to ask for help from others. But i had a great partner who actually helped me quite a few times. It was raining at one time, and the water level was rising.

We had to start going a lot faster at the point. Cause they get flash foods occasionally if the water level is too high. I was going a lot faster and falling on the damn rocks quite a bit. Another problem is i wear size 16 shoes (And unlike the others i wasn't wearing water shoes) and my feet were slipping like crazy one very rock. I ended up landing on my face... right on a huge side of the narrows. My partner helped me up and throughout the rest of the hike... let me lean on him if i needed support.

After many bumps, bruises, and cuts. We made it out safe, wet, bloody, and happy. I had some other guys that occasionaly came around to help as well. I'm glad that i never gave up for one! i do like a challenge and this was a big one.

I'm also glad i have great friends who helped me when i was in need. Even though i'm stubborn and couldn't directly ask for help.

I feel like we all grew together over the last few days. And we came out with stronger bonds then i ever could have imagined.

These are the moments in life worth cherishing

and be careful with rocks; water + rocks + macho bs = wheelchair (usually)
