"In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot. Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, "Into the Storm" throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme. Cows. Sharks. Octopi. Why not, looks like everything else gets sucked up into the thing. I think this is the trailer I actually saw, but it's not like I committed it to memory so idk.
That is a little too real! I was at a school and the kids were getting released for the day and it was pouring rain! And they did not want to go out and some kids were running in and out and the teachers were trying to get them to go home...and the power goes out... so the kids are screaming and being kids...and then the tornado horns go off!
And the kids all got on the floor just like the movie but the floor was soaked. So the horns go off for 20 or 30 mins. The kids are screaming and crying and praying. Parents are demanding to get their kids. And they told them: no way. (there was no way to find them really)
Lucky the tornado did not touch down too close to the school. A big tree was knocked down.

So there are storm chasers in it.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, this isn't a remake or reboot of Twister, though it's awfully inspired by that movie. It's supposed to be another one of those "found footage" type of movies that uses several points of view, from terrified high school students, news helicopter journalists, and yes, stormchasers.

it has some found footage elements but mostly it looks like an over done CGI gazz fest. But it does look good. Like I said: the part in the school... wow!

We ought to take bets on whether or not there is a cow taken up in this movie. Of course I don't think it'll fair too well, given that this one is strong enough to take up airplanes.
tornados really freak me out. even though i like a little thunder rain drizzling on the roof round about sunset just like anyone, these suckers are real howler monkeys, clawing entire trees and houses off the landscape and stuff. cow, i hope a twister never gets anywhere near you
