Shawy is taken from "Shall we", I used to use "Shall we" in every sentence I've prounounced, instead of should we or let's I've always been addicted to that word, so that's the first thing that popped up in my mind day I signed for Shawy to be my all-forums user name. As for 89, that's my birth year. As for my avie, that's Morrissey as lately I been digging so much into The Smiths catalog.

"Lammas" is an ancient holiday marking the cusp of summer and autumn. "Lammastide" is simply the period around the holiday, a favourite time of year for me.

My avatar is the brow of Michelangelo's statue of David. I was going for an image iconic to my own spiritual tradition, the art and aesthetics world, and things LGBT. I sort of reside at that intersection. Perhaps somewhat more shallow, I also wanted something to match my computer desktop and iPhone wallpaper, which feature David's torso and butt, respectively.

fauxnewbie was an old alter I had back in the early 00s when I didn't have a really recognisable username that ppl knew me by. Some ppl in chat started shortening my name in there to fauxie when they chatted with me, and I ended later with accounts as faux and fauxie and that nickname stuck, to the point where it has overlapped into offline life just a little bit.
