This calculation would never work on the calculator on my phone. Last time I added the hours for each week multiplied by my hourly wage, I got a higher number and was excited because I thought I was really gonna get that much for the measly hours I worked. When the check came I was disappointed that it was almost a hundred dollars short, so I added it up again. This time it was much less when I just multiplied total hours worked by wage.

that is why baby jesus invented order of opperations. (and if put it all in a google serch window it will give you the correct answer)

if i tell you how to solve it then it is kind of cheating is it not? But if you do the PE(MD)(AS) then you can do it in your head.

otherwise

use PEMDAS

But 56 is a very common incorrect answer

22 X 22 = 16

33 X 33 = ?

Could be 25 if following square roots. Could be 28 if adding 12 to each.

yeah 36 or 81 (1+1) x (1+1) = 4

(2+2) x (2 + 2) = 16

(3 + 3) x (3 + 3) = 81

no Paranthcies, no exponets so Multipcation or division left to right so:

7 + 1 + 7 x 7 - 7

7 + 1 + 49 - 7

8 + 49 - 7

57 - 7 = 50

It's 56 if it's sequential intructions. Meaning you total each operation in printed order.

7 + 7 = 14

14 / 7 = 2

2 + 7 = 9

9 * 7 = 63

63 - 7 = 56

It's 50 if you read it like this and do the division and multiplication first (which would be the case in a formula):

7 + (7/7) + (7*7) - 7 = 50

8=56

7=42

6=30

5=20

3=?
