If You Only Had One Week Left To Live If you woke up tomorrow to find that you only had one week left to live... how would you spend your time?
Would you quit your job or still go about your daily activites... out of denial? What would you want your last meal to be? Would you want someone there to be with you, as the final hours counted down, and who would you want that person/people to be? Would you do anything to prepare for those final moments before your death? Where would you want to be when it happened? Would you make ammends with anyone? Do you think you'd get out and do things or do you think you'd find yourself so depressed that you'd spend the majority of that time in bed? Things like that... | |

What would you want your last meal to be?
I'd have some lasagna with extra extra sauce and ton of cheese... Just the way I like it. And some kulebiaka. Would you want someone there to be with you, as the final hours counted down, and who would you want that person/people to be? No one.
Would you do anything to prepare for those final moments before your death? I'd hunt Shane Battier down and explain my situation. If he was unwilling to be reasonable when I requested that he and I have a lot of sex for 7 days, I'd just rape him.

Not only would I quit my job, but I'd tell everyone that I hated (namely my bosses) what I thought of them. I'd tell the woman that I'd secretly had a crush on that I did and make the slowest, hardest, sweatiest, most passionate love until the next day. My last meal (gasp) would be a full course vegetarian Chinese feast. There is a place very deep in the Sahara Desert. It is a large circle made of stones and no one knows how long it's been there or who made it. That night I would lie in the circle and gaze at the stars. Mood Indigo would be playing on the casette player I brought with me. I close my eyes and as the last note of Duke Ellington's song ends, I remember what a great day I had. I would like to say my kids, too... but I don't know if I'd be able to handle that or if it would be good for them. Would you do anything to prepare for those final moments before your death? Yes, I would be going through everything, destroying anything and everything that spoke of how I really felt about me and life, or anything that I wouldn't want anyone to find later! And, then I would worry that I missed something and they would find it! Where would you want to be when it happened? I would like to say Tecumseh River Park, but I don't think that would be a good place for me to drop dead, so I'd have to say my bed. Would you make ammends with anyone? Certain people... other people, no.... but, I'd let everyone know exactly how I felt. I'd probably be too busy clearing things out and getting things in order to have any fun... though, I would spend a lot of time with my kids and my mom. . I'll just answer question by question...
Would you quit your job or still go about your daily activites... out of denial? I'd quit. No point in that anymore. What would you want your last meal to be? Tough choice!!! I'd eat like a queen for a week. Mainly lots of thai food and super rich desserts. Would you want someone there to be with you, as the final hours counted down, and who would you want that person/people to be? All of my friends. It'd be a party. Would you do anything to prepare for those final moments before your death? Probably not. I'd want my will and affairs all set up but other than that, I'd just let it happen naturally. Of course, a nice cocktail would be in order. Where would you want to be when it happened? In a glorious, sumptuous bed. Would you make ammends with anyone? I don't think I need to. Wow. That's a really nice thought to think about!! Do you think you'd get out and do things or do you think you'd find yourself so depressed that you'd spend the majority of that time in bed? I'd spend half my time doing both. I'm a social butterfly and optimist most of the time, but depression can get the better of me if I'm not careful. |
