in an effort to boost activity on the org

i've decided to do my bit to help

i got to thinking about why it's so slow around here these days, and i think it comes down to the quality of the threads posted

sooooo....

for the next week or so i'll be giving each new thread a score out of 10... i'll explain why the thread received the score it did, which will assist members to lift their game, thus creating a more vibrant and interesting place to hang

i know.... great idea, right?

Gunsnhalen	I give this thread a 9, your ass an 8, and your other threads a 10. The org was pretty slow last summer as well. The org is boring.

The org is stupid.

Facebook is filled with a lot of negative opinions about the org. I don't know if there is anything that can be done about improving the org to bring folks back.

I tried to get people back on here by photowhoring my Amsterdam pics here FIRST, and posting on FB that they need to come back to see them.

This site has lived a very long life, really. And for me its no different than friends in the real world. People tend to grow, change, get older and move on. Be nice if it sticks around, but so many people have moved on to timesuck (aka facebook) for a majority of their interaction that it will likely require new people to keep it alive. Plus, ya know, real life and stuff. A girlfriend is more important than the org, jus' sayin'. lol

One reason the org is moving slow as of late may be due to all the natural weather related disasters that have been destroying homes, businesses and affecting the overall economy for the everyday people. Not to mention huge fires that are wiping out many communitues.

I often wonder when certain orger's participation becomes dormant, if it's because of the afore mentioned.
