I didn't see Parker or Ginobilli in these. Maybe they were on a different boat?

WOW, ^ the sentence structure from hell (mine) corrected. lol How can Wade hold the Heat hostage? Wade's knees are creeking. The coach rested the guy all season for the finals and he still had no lift. It slipped my mind Wade's is a franchise player; so I don't Riley would just kick him to the curb. All future rings go through Mr. James. The question is, what pieces can Riley find to help James? I really don't think Mello will leaving NY.

NY can offer Carmelo the most loot, but he's 30 and doesn't want to go through another shit season. The Knicks are 2-3 years from being a serious contender. He might not want to wait that long, so anything is possible.

I just heard some reports this morining Mello maybe coming to Chicago, I'll believe it when I see him say it. lol I thought Mellow would stay in NY just because they could offer him most money and becaus of the Zin Master.

We shall see...

Chicago would be the perfect fit for Anthony. Bulls biggest problem is scoring, which is what Carmelo does best. And his defense would improve under Thibs. With Carmelo and a healthy Rose, Bulls are right back in the conference finals, especially with question marks surrounding Miami and Indiana.

I'd like Carmelo to stay here, but not at max money.

Sorry to hear that. Hope all is better and good to see you back. Well as you can see we are having our annual LeBron James sucks debate. lol

Things are turning in the right direction thank goodness and thanks.

lol lol lol

It took me a minute to get over the fact that James will never be a cut your throat and rip your heart out type of player. James got game and a lot of it. But James could have scored 40 to 50 points a game and it wouldn't have helped the Heat. No bench, no inside game, no outside game, no junk man (Bosh?), poor ball handling, snail slow on the transition, out coached... I could go on but you get the idea. :lol:The much better team won, the Spurs should have swept.

The only issue I ever had with James was the decison and boasting/ trash talking. That's all good but don't act like a big ol' baby when folks trash talk back to you even harder. As Coach Pop did during the Spurs victory parade, hilarious. lol lol lol

Thank you! That's what I've been trying to tell some of these clowns. Wilt, Jordan, Kobe, James.....no one does it alone. Miami went from being the Heat to the Cavaliers in from of Lebron's eyes. They were dead meat against the Spurs.

Lebron's handling of 'The Decision' was poor, I agree. But he was a free agent and had every right to work wherever he wanted, just like the rest of us.

A point guard like Kyle Lowry would be perfect for Miami. He'd take the ball-handling duties away from Lebron. They could use a big-man like Serge Ibaka for rim protection.

But will Wade re-work his contract so Miami can get the pieces they need?

He worries me... Coach Thibdodeau.

Thibodeau doesn' t have clue how to pace his team over the long NBA season... to be ready for the play-off championship run. I can't believe he's whining again about a contract he just signed. : If Mellow comes to Che-Town and if Rose can make it through a season (crossed fingers) the Bulls can make a run.

Thibodeau is from the Pat Riley School - every game is life and death. You can't do that during the NBA regular season marathon. Eventually, the team will burn out and have nothing left, as Riley did with the Lakers and Knicks. You can't fuck around with your franchise player (Rose) coming off a serious injury.

Thibodeau should look at how Coach Popp paced his team in the brutal Western Conference. You saw the result.

It's amazing in sports how it takes these guys months of training, being on the road, etc. to even get to the finals and as soon as they win, people are talking about next year smile It's funny how sports works like that. I'm glad the Spurs won. I think Duncan might be retiring but Kawhi Leonard for sure will be a big part of this team's success for a while.

I think Carmelo might stay in NYC if Jackson can get some good support players. I think Derrick Fisher will be a decent coach once he gets used to it. It's kind of cool to see guys retire and then become coaches soon after. They are still young enough to relate to the players.

The Knicks can't get any good players because of these fucking ridiculous contracts they always give out. Chandler, Amar'e & Bargnai's don't come off the books until after the 2014-15 season. At age 30, does Carmelo want to go through another year of mediocrity instead of playing for a contender? Does he believe Phil Jackson can turn things around?

It all comes down to the relationship between the owner, GM and coach. For example, the reason why the Dallas Cowboys suck is squarely on the shoulders of team owner Jerry Jones. His fixation on Tony Romo, despite how TERRIBLE Romo is, seems to be unshakeable. I was shocked to see JERRY on the phone calling the shots during the draft instead of the GM!!! Spineless coach Jason Garrett just sat there like a bump on a log!

I don't know if Jackson is Owner and GM but he knows basketball really well. Carmelo needs to go to a team that would help him establish himself as a franchise player AND as a future hall of famer. If he keeps bouncing around it may be too late in a few more years. I hope he finds success with a decent team.

I like Tony Romo's game. IMO, Jerry Jones is the biggest problem, but that's for our football thread.

Jackson's not the owner. Unfortunately, James Dolan is, and he's one of the worst owners in professional sports. He's nothing but a rich man's son - a hot-headed, meddling jackass who thinks he knows basketball. Ever since his father gave him the keys to the franchise 14 years ago, he's turned it into a laughingstock. Don't get me started on the Isiah Thomas years.

At Phil's press conference, Dolan promised not to interfere, but he said the same thing to Donnie Walsh. We all know how that worked out.

Are you kidding me about Romo? Go read his stats and let's bring this back up again when he goes 8-8 AGAIN and loses in the first round of the playoffs....

Maybe Carmelo knew what he was getting into but was hoping it would change.

I think they'll work (Heat / Riley) something out. I don't think Lebron wantsto be a championship gun for hire type of guy, he'd like to build a legacy of being a good that brought several trophies to a team. Though Riley cracked me up yesterday ---with his well really what else can Lebron go speech-- with his comments. I thought to myself, that's what Cleveland thought and we akk know how that turned out. lol

Why is everyone talking about the losers instead of the winners of this finals? I think if it were the other way around, not one word about the Spurs would be spoken. Oh well, it's all smoke and mirrors when it comes to the media.

lol lol lol That's the way it is.

Your point is taken... the Spurs for some reason (besides Texas) has never been embraced or given their props. I suppose for many of use, our teams (my Bulls) didn't make the play-offs or lost in the early rounds... "we" had no dog in the race. So, we look forward to the moves made by all NBA teams to make themselves better for the next your run to the Championship.
