Well, what makes some people so picky and unkind?

Where humour is present it's ok, but I'm talking about those negative people who lack this quality and only seek to put people down.

Do u ever take out your aggression on the org with some bitter, vicious posting?

People are quick to jump to conclusions, some lack a sense of humor, and then there are those who try to make others as miserable as they are.

Actually, I find it is starting to affect my enjoyment of listening to Prince's music.


It's hard to listen to some of Prince's work now, without recalling a debate on the music that turned into namecalling, and negativity, and bad vibes.

If there's one thing that comes through, it's that some people use the subject of Prince as a springboard to attack others and their enjoyment, or feelings about his music. That's the problem with the internet-it allows cowards and weaklings to have a voice with their keyboards to say something to a fellow human that they wouldn't dare on the street.

I'm an athlete. I probably have twice the muscle mass of some of the cowards that have verbally attacked me on frivilous things like interpretations of a Prince album that has only sold 100,000 in the entire world. If they met me on the street, they wouldn't dare say the things they do from their safe haven of a computer.

I think most of us come to Prince.Org based on a general appreciation of Prince's music. Unfortunately, for some it becomes a place to vent frustration and intolerance that goes beyond dumb cd's. It's a cowards paradise.

By the way, your wife looks very familiar.

The first time I saw you post your "wife's" photo, I thought that was nice, you obiviously love her and are proud. Then I thought, "Man, He's crazy, revealing so much about himself to some of the hateful thespians on this site!"

I noticed you say you tried to delete your account. I've seriously thought about doing that too. Do you find that you joined with good intentions, only to wade thru so much vitrol and meanness, that it is actually affecting your listening enjoyment of Prince?

I noticed that you recently bought "Emancipation" and posted your thoughts as you went along. Some of the sour responses were too much...extremeist and sensationalistic and just very,very, bitter. I mean it's good to debate the music, but the hateful emarks just ring in your head. Is it worth it?

It's a phase...after a while you pay attention to your favorite orgers and ignore the others.

I'm fed up with this place.

I guess I put my wife's pic on my avatar so anything to do with that is my own fault.

But do I need someone saying Prince's 2001 downloads are better than my wife??!!

And someone telling me she looks pale for a Thai woman? What's that about?

Seems to me that the best thing to do on the org is not be yourself but be someone else.

I put my wife's pic in my avatar because I like it. I put my details in my profile because it's who I am.
