I was hoping that GOT never turns to a fantasy world (think Middle Earth) full of giant talking trees and mamoths, but then, the giants & their beast last night were quite a decent flavor.... I don't know how we accept Dragons and not Mamoths lol.... It's just, I hope they don't take it too far.

Come to think about it, there's plenty of storylines to follow in the next episode: Stannis, Khalesi, Tyron, The Nights Watch, Sansa & Little Finger, The little stark... It's going to be a great episode.

Just watched, Jon Snow bored. Best part was the boy with the "got your back bro" nod after he arrowed ginger girl.

Question for people who have read the books, how is Jon Snow and the whole wall thing written cause im sure its suppose to be interesting since it seems like a huge plot point in the books. In the show it just is coming off as heavy baggage.

I really dont see how you could compare this to last years blackwater, cause while they both have a battle going on in blackwater there was characer interaction and development. This was just people I dont know or care about getting killed.

enjoyed it, well put together and fast paced too.

I like the Wall story and like the way it's always dark.

So is it really 9th episode, major death, major battle, major death, major battle? That makes sense. Ooooo, and the finale will be 66 minutes, so they are packing a few more things in, so maybe they're not waiting until next season for the twist

As quickly as they introduce characters and then kill them off I've chucked the notion of learning any of these peoples names.

Ok, very annoyed that Ygritte has been knocked off, thought she would have been kept on for a bit longer. Though she did kill the boy's parent, so payback is a bitch. Fully expected the boy to kill the Wilding who told him that that he was going to eat his parents, rather than Sam doing it. Loved that she got the last word in "You know nothing Jon Snow"
Loved the scythe thing, cleaning off the wall -so cool!!
But Castle Black is struggling for protection even more now, and Jon Snow is swanning off up North - really?
Apparently the last episode is supposed to go for 66 minutes, so they must have held over something that could have been in episode 9.

Pretty decent finale. I still found myself saying "that's it?" though after the screen went to black. lol

The scene with Stannis and Jon Snow was pretty excited I'd love to see them joining forces together...with that said, can't wait to see what's in store next season for these two. If we would have seen Stannis' forces intervene in last week's episode, I think it would have made the episode more exciting and interesting.

Urgh, Shae really was a whore after all.

Tyrion taking Tywin out has to be one of the most defining moments of this show. Without Tywin, the Lannister legacy falls. Are we finally going to see Stannis make his way there? excited

Me too, I wanted another hour or so, so many loose ends
- so The Mountain is not dead, lost a bet there
- Ayra is off to be an assassin
- is Bran going to become a crow, not the night watch sort though
- but what has happened to the youngest Stark sibling??
- Tywin has been doing Shae, could the implication be that he did the same with Tyrion's first wife?
- guess that Cersei will not being getting married now
- Stannis brought a lot of men with the money from the Iron Bank, kind of sucky that Tywin is dead and won't get to see him march into King's Landing and be one king
- Was hoping that Brienne and The Hound would combine forces
- was quite sad to see the dragons chained up, but sadder to see what they did to the little girl. Dany's rule seems to be struggling at present

Really might have to start reading the books, especially with a new one out later in the year. Though it sounds like this episode really diverged from the books

It was good, but oh my damned. disbelief

Grrr G.R.R.Martin is an asshat, cannot believe he did that, I know you should never get attached to characters, but still, grrr!! But Sansaa, woo hoo, very well played, little finger should be on his guard! Ayra, will be interesting to see what happens there, am hoping she will meet up with Sansaa, but that would be way too easy. Are all bastards given the surname Snow? So Greg Worm, I assume that he was definitely castrated? I half expected Daenerys to ask him to drop his pants, so she could find out. Hoping that that is not the last we see of Ser Jorah, as he is the voice of reason, but I guess it was getting crowded at the table there. Only two more left for the season..

I know right, I had grown to like Ser Jorah. It was especially sad when he told her that he loved her and she turned him away coldly. I understand her reasoning but damn.

I think all bastards up North are given the surname of Snow, while over down South and to the West, all bastards are given the surname of Sand (like Oberyn's girlfriend). I read something on the HBO site saying something to that effect.

Speaking of Oberyn...I sure will miss him and his boldness...even if it did get him killed. sad

My prediction (which could be wrong since I'm not good at them) is that Jaime will step in to save Tyrion somehow, someway. There's something up, Jaime is usually more helpful than this and since his role has been pretty much stepping away from helping Tyrion (aside from the failed deal he made Tywin), I think at this point, he may be willing to give his life to save Tyrion. But who knows...GoT has a knack for doing the unexpected (just as it did last night), which is one of the many reasons why I love the show.

Prediction came true

The Mountain, the show seems to have diverged from the book a fraction, it waits to be seen where it goes.

Aryas journey gets a little bizarre, the show may change it to some degree because I doubt it'll play out well for TV audiences.

They cut out a large chunk of Brans story, it was boring anyway and they spiced it up a bit plus they just went ahead and killed off Jojen.

Rickon Stark don't know yet.

Tyrions first wife wasn't a whore. Tywin lied and made Jaime lie, and basically destoyed the girl.

Cersi is now unbridled and in complete control, she has issues which are suppose to surface, I don't think they'll change that story too much.

Stannis isn't going to Kings Landing nor is Jon joining forces with him, unless the TV show just decides to completely change the entire story. They could with RR dragging out the story more and adding more obstacles.

Brienne and the Hound never met, the TV show's version was more exciting. It did make me wonder if they are cutting a mystical storyline completely out. I don't like that storyline anyway. It a big question mark.

Seems like they're staying on point, mostly, to Danys story which means she going to have more problems next season. It'll probably be focused a lot on her. Maybe.

Did Robb talk about leaving a will or is that complete internet bull? Which would make Jon a Stark and no longer a Snow.

I only saw the episode once and completely missed if the horn that brings down the wall was even mentioned?
