Since there seemed to be a lot of ignorance and misunderstanding on Digitallisa's recent thread on bisexuality (or lack thereof) I figured I might need to out myself for those that don't know. Hi there! Does the person you know as AprilMichelle seem like ANY of the things said on that thread? Lots of other bisexuals aren't either. If any of you care I wrote about the whole thing a bit more extensively in my livejournal (link is in my sig, entry titled "why nobody loves a bisexual" and the comments link underneath that), maybe y'all will understand a little better. That said, I appeciate Carrie C. and all of my other orgers who thought before catagorizing anyone.

I have friends who are Bi. I see nothing wrong with it at all. The way I see it, people who have the biggest problems with other people's sexuality are usually the ones who have issues with their own (whether they admit it to themselves or not). While I have noticed that with SOME people bisexuality is like a 'transition stage' to being gay (I was one of those people)..for others it's just what they are. I fail to see what the big deal is, really.

April I think that a lot of people just don't understand bisexuality. And probably most of those people that don't understand, don't really want to know in the first place.

Don't get too upset, it's not worth it.
