If you haven't heard by now, Sheri Sheppard is in a legal battle with her first and second husband at the same time. The second husband married her just three years ago and already is asking for spousal support and custody of their unborn child. Did both of these guys take Sheri for a ride? Did they size her up as being undesirable to other men and manipulated her as such? What do you guys think?
On The View this morning, Sheri unknowingly invented a new word in the English language '"agreeance"....she said this word three times. What the heck is "agreeance"? Was she trying to say agreement? How do people like this end up as millionaires? lol

She didn't pull it out of her ass or make it up like u suggest People use this word. Some say it's wrong...some say its obsolete while others use it regularly. Its used widely in New Zealand apparently. Yes...I know Sheri isn't in new Zealand. Maybe she knows someone closely from new Zealand. But she didn't just make up a word. I'm going to start using it just to irritate..'irregardless' of its status.
Also...I believe u're over estimating her income. [Edited 5/19/14 20:03pm]
so you're conceding that YOU'RE wrong in this instance? truth is as annoying as she may be (she's no less than any of the women on that show), best believe she didn't get there by "splitting verbs"

Do you watch The View? Have you heard her speak at length?
I was watching the View and when she said "aggreance" - I was like ???? so I googled it to see if it was a word as well. Seventeendaze or whatever her name is isn't the only person who thought she was using a word that wasn't a word. I still don't think it's a word but there's a definition for it so, smh, I don't know but it sure sounds stupid.
and for the record, I think that both of these men were looking for a free ride from Sheri, which is a shame because I thought the new husband really cared about her and they seemed like a cute couple but I'm hearing that she was fed up because he stayed on the couch all day snacking while she worked all the time.
If y'all wanna complain about someone misspeaking on t.v., focus your attention on Al Sharpton. That muthafuckah fuckin drives me insane. How they still let him open his mouth on air is beyond me. He manages to destroy EVERY sentence he approaches.
I don't watch the view but I know who Sheri is and I like her and maybe I'm being overly defensive of her. I am trying to be objective here. One of the definitions came from UNWORD.com...lol. She prolly shouldn't use the word but it wasn't made up is all. She's a comedian...not an English professor or dictionary editor. [Edited 5/19/14 20:46pm]
i don't watch. i've heard her speak at length on other ocassions though.
Yeah she has the tendacy to misspeak a lot. But lately she's been talking over everyone else and it gets really annoying. It's hard to describe but she's really annoying to me.

Yeah they definitely were getting with her for a check, especially the second one. His lawyer did an interview today on Entertainment Tonight. The lawyer was trying to act "surprised" that his client didn't show up for the interview that was going to be on national television.
No offense Seventeendayze, I couldn't remember how you spelled your name! :)Yeah, both these men are swindlers- the second one doesn't want custody of that newborn baby the surrogate is about to deliver, he just wants Sheri to have to fight him for it and pay him more money. Seems like she has a history of picking losers. Feel bad for her.

Ha, no worries, it made me laugh Yes they are both hustlers. I guess the first husband must have put on a good act or something. The second husband was probably got some sort of benefit from enterting her life at a vulnerable time. I heard another person say they believe her second husband sought her out specifically to clean her out one day. This guy is making moves like clock work. He is married just a handful of years and now suddenly he's filing a lawsuit against her? And, just like you said, he used that surrogate situation as a bargaining ship and to also guarantee child support. What the hell is this about? At some point she would have had to recognize they were taking her for a ride.

I don't watch The View regularly, but I know who she is. Of course we don't know the whole story, but it seems like Sheri made some bad choices in men. If the second husband did not have a career before she married him, then she should have known better. And her not protecting her assets with a prenup was stupid. The choice of men successful black women have to choose from is sorely lacking. She needs to be extra vigilant when it comes to choosing a mate. She may not be worth millions, but what little she has, she should have protected from the grasp of greedy, conniving freeloaders and gold diggers.
After reading some articles on her trials, it was revealed that she has a prenup and is worth around 10 million. Good for her, but the second husband tried to add some ridiculous "fat"clauses to the prenup, which Sheri refused to sign. So it seems that if she has a prenup, the second husband is SOL. And probably on the only reason he wants custody of the child is to get more money to line his own pockets and not for the well being of the child. And the first husband making allegations about her being an unfit mother because the child doesn't know how to tie his shoes is fucking ridiculous! If he's so concerned about the child being neglected, why doesn't he step in and take an active role in the child's upbringing? Another prime example of suing for custody to get paid. Yeah, I'm in her corner. These two tack heads need to be tarred and feathered.

You're right on the money! They are reporting that the 2nd husband's lawyer was going to say the prenup was invalid due to fraud. The lawsuit doesn't specify what type of fraud. The other day I was watching a show and they were saying that the lawyer for the 2nd hubby was going to explain what the fraud aspect about the lawsuit was. For some reason, even though they promoted the show as having the inside scoop of this, the lawyer didn't say one word about fraud. It was shady to advertise this and then do a bait and switch.
I think you're right about how she's been unwittingly trapped in the "black man or no man" mentality. I'm not sure how many white men would be banging down her door but she shouldn't lower her standards just to have any old black man.

there had to be clear warning signs involving both of her exes. no one just decides right after they are married to stop working; he probably wasn't working while they were dating. but sherri strikes me as someone who's not too bright. granted, i don't watch the view, but i certainly heard about her "is the earth really round" comment. and i've heard about her supposedly having multiple abortions, which is definitely her right, but i wonder about the mental state of a woman who would find herself in that situation multiple times. i don't know why she would have to settle for any old black man, since there are a lot of black men out there that have integrity. so what is it about her that she would actually settle for these guys? it's like that phaedra on real housewives. a lawyer and businesswoman, why would she marry an ex-con who's about as smart as a bucket of paint and had nothing to bring to the table, and who is now about to go away to prison again, leaving her with two little "fatherless" black boys? did she really need a man that badly? i don't know the answer to that.

I bet there were plenty of warning signs but she probably figured it would be improved, if she tried to change him somehow. It seems stupid but hindsight is 20/20. As far as Phaedra goes, I have never watched the show but yes is seems stupid to hook up with an ex-con who doesn't seem to want to improve his life. It's no secret that the criminal justice is corrupt, so there's always the possibility that he was wrongly encarcerated for a crime he didn't committ. But, either way, he should be the type that wants to move onward and upward. I think these woman want to "save" these guys but it's just not going to happen, sadly.

no, her husband copped to the crime he committed. something to do with identity theft, if i'm not mistaken, which is what he's been indicted for...AGAIN! but i think you're right. a lot of times, women in particular think that they are going to be the ones to "change" the other person, make them whole and better. sherri thought that once he was introduced to her lifestyle, he would magically step up his game. it never really works out that way, does it?
