I know right? It's happening too often.
Yeah so right now he's on desk duty but will probably be promoted, even.
It's amazing how they get away with crimes but then want to lock people up for the smallest things. They think they are above the law and in many ways, they are. But, under the surface many of them are cowards when faced with citizens who know a thing or two. If you ever want to make a cop nervous, ask for their name and badge number before saying a word. But, believe me the corruption and cover ups start way up the ladder when it comes to police. The real criminals are everyone higher up like lieutenants, commanders and ultimately chiefs.

I was just thinking that there have been a lot of cops too that have been busted for possession of drugs here. Maybe it's unrelated though. Maybe they just get away with stuff when in the line of duty? |

That's very confusing to me as well. I think it's the police department that decides not to press charges or maybe it's coming from the prosecutor or district attorney. I find it strange that these things happen and rarely does the media follow up to find out how the story ended. The media is notorious for pretending to investigate cops but they really don't want to rock the boat for fear of losing out on their "sources". Lawyers ain't the only ambulance chasers out there Trolls be gone! |

The media are the worst ambulance chasers out there since they are always reporting on hideous crimes. TV reporters and producers often use cops as their sources for a lot of leads on stories. So, the media walks a tightrope when it comes to reporting on dirty cops. You never hear about high-ranking officials doing something bad unless they pissed someone off and it's a media hit job. Here's a good link for the definition of ambulance chaser
