^ if you like dark, dark comedy, there is a funny movie called 'Good Neighbors' which is really about bad neighbors. Good Neighbours is a 2010 Canadian black comedy-drama/thriller film which was written and directed by Jacob Tierney based on the book by Chrystine Brouillet. definitely recommend.

I'll have to check that out! It sounds cool.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) - An insane general triggers a path to nuclear holocaust that a war room full of politicians and generals frantically try to stop.

Nymphomaniac: Vol. II (2013) - The continuation of Joe's sexually dictated life delves into the darker aspects of her adulthood, obsessions and what led to her being in Seligman's care.

It's not much different from Vol.1 except there is a resolution of course--in a typical Lars von Trier manner. star star star

GODZILLA (2014)

Very well done. The King of the Monsters is back. It shits on that piece of crap from 1998. The people complaining about Godzilla's screen time are idiots. He had less in his first movie.

Always thought if the character Jessica Chastain played is the same one as Clair Danes' character in Homeland... They SO share everything.

The Director focused on the Actors and Godzilla and the Monsters took a back seat. How many times during the Film did the Director tease us with a Monster to Monster confrontation to only fade away to the Actors. Godzilla has a Rich history when it comes to the Fighting scenes. We had to wait 2hrs to see a Mega Fighting scene and that's a no-no for a Godzilla flick. The Critics and Movie-goers noticed the same thing. I'm not just a Lover of Sci-Fi, I Love me some Godzilla and I know the history behind the franchise....Part 2 has been given the green-light and the Director BETTER give Godzilla some camera time and let us see some fighting. I don't want to see the Flavor of the Month actors give Academy award caliber scenes...And that ugly azz wig Bryan Cranston had sitting on top of his head was Horrific...I wanted him to die early so I wouldnt have to look at that Wig..

X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The best X-Men movie thus far. Including the two Wolverine movies.

Better even than Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Great Nixon joke, and you have to be old enough to know why people start laughing.

There is a whole lot to like here.

Great summer flick.

Just realized one of the reasons it is so great is because there is no romatic subplot to service.

There's plenty of tension between the three lead male characters.

The Hidden Hand: Alien Contact and the Government Cover-up.

obviously, a lot of folks on this website doubt there is any such thing; this film presents a strong body of evidence from first person accounts of alien encounters by well-respected individuals. it's an interesting look at what might be happening in our own backyards without our awareness. did you know that NASA tried to stop steven spielberg from making the film 'Close Encounters' back in the 1970s?? many other countries (but not the USA) have been de-classifying files in recent years which document these encounters. fascinating. highly recommend.

that was the best scene to me too. :-D

Halle wasn't used much because she was pregnant at the time. Which was fine for me because I don't like her as Storm.

Batman Returns

star star star star

Why?

  • My crush on Michelle P. as Catwoman. She will forever be my favorite after Eartha.
  • The delicious song "Face to Face" by Siouxsie and The Banshees.
  • The dark, brooding storyline.
  • The naughty, complicated relationship between Batman and Catwoman (keep in mind, I was a KID when this originally came out. About....5 or 6 lol)
  • The Penguin's effed up...everything. From his life to his personality.
  • Catwoman's descent into madness. From meek Selina Kyle to unhinged, conflicted Catwoman...yummy.
  • Michael Keaton...hot as he wanna be. Mama likes. lips

The Expendables 2 (2012)

A terrible, fun movie. Seeing John McClane, John Rambo, Lone Wolf McQuade, Ivan Drago, and The Terminator in the same movie blowing up stuff -- with Van Damme as the villain to boot -- is a fun way to kill brain cells to start off the summer.

Ludicrous premise, but it was alright. I had never seen Vanessa Paradis act before and she was very good.

Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton play vampires in a movie written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. What more incentive do you need to see it? Well, John Hurt plays a vampire too!

GODZILLA........finally! I LOVED IT!!! She wasn't in the film as much as the other two creatures, but she was there enough and she got the last shot of the movie! Making her the savior of humanity was awesome! Side bar: I know Godzilla was created as a man, but in my mind it's a woman.....hence me referring to it as she.....I would give it 3 out of 4 stars.".

X-Men:Future Past was BRILLIANT!!!!! It moved fast, kept me on the edge of my seat for 2hrs/20min. Director Bryan Singer and his Dream Team Dreamed up an ass load of special effects. Adding in all those Mutants was right on time. Bishop needs his own Solo trilogy and I remember him from the 90's cartoon series. Quicksilver STOLE the flick with under 10min of screentime. The Screenwriter deserves propers for Dreaming up a great script and giving the actors something to chew. The Director is the one that is responsible for telling a story. Whenever you see a Movie it is the Director's baby and his interpretation taken from a Script..The Director can succeed at telling a story or he can fail Miserably.....Bryan Singer told a GREAt story this-go-round and I'm going to see it AGAIN...It's worth any amount of money you gotta pay at the box-office...And the Sentinels were no Fucking joke!
