i understand the spirit of this thread, but in this day and age WHY do women, talented, professionals and otherwise, have to market their naked selves to be successful, accepted and (ironically) taken seriously?

it's like the kardashian ripple effect. one can hardly open a magazine or read the news online without seeing yet another celeb (or even political figure!) sporting nips and butt. from miley cyrus to beyonce we're being judged on our bikini bodies. can i just say YUK! what a helluva way for feminism to go down, as it were..

what happened to admiring public figures and characters because they have, well, character? honor, integrity, courage and strength?? why must we worship at the altar of surgically altered boobies? the good people of england are able to embrace non-airbrushed, not so heavily made up actors and actresses, can we not achieve that same level of maturity??

this has to be the darkest age of all. there's a new cultural norm of lionizing those with eating disorders and silicone gel implants.
