hmmm Margaery made sure Joffery had a bite of the pie, and when he had a bite he made a weird face

I have a feeling Olenna Tyrell had a thing to do with this
Tyrion grabs the goblit near Margaerys grandmother Olenna, She didnt seem too impressed on the party goings.
Could that be why she didnt spend much money on the wedding expenses hmmm

After rewatching it it becomes obvious who and how Joffrey was poisoned.

Why did the 'fool' tell Sansa to go with him if she wanted to live? hmm

Check this out. wink Did you notice Olenna playing with Sansa's necklace? The one the fool gave her?

I'd say that Joffrey's younger brother is next in line, cause they sure made him visible in all the scenes and that would make Cersei back as regent. My question is the kid a Lannister through and through? wink

[Edited 4/14/14 9:46am]

Maybe, but isn't Margaery already the queen now? So if that kid is the next king they're supposed to get married?

There's one thing very important in the episode:

This is what the young Stark saw in his vision, means now he's the only one who knows that the dragons are comming (aside from Kalesi and her team)/And whats with the throne under snow? (Is it John Snow who's going to be the king?)/White Walkers.......?

Didn't his vision end with "Look for me... in the North"? Maybe the old Ice Man called, maybe he'll be able to command them or something? Don't know, haven't read the books. But, one of the producers said in the "behind the episode" video that we don't know if he saw the future or the past or...

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

When I watched it again I noticed Olenna playing with Sansa's necklace and it seems there WAS a crystal missing so... hmmm lol Explains why the 'fool' came to her rescue so quickly. He gave it to her after all.

What is becoming obviuosly clear is that GM has no desire to save the family that he introduced the readers to. While the remaining Starks may survive they aren't important to the story he's telling.

Jamie kind of sucks at his job, two kings have died so far under his watch, would they risk a third?
Did wonder if Little Finger was going to pop up again soon, but who was he working with, other than the fool?
Don't think Cersei was too thrilled with her father starting to guide Tommo, don't think she will have the influence she once did.
Is it just me, or are these episodes feeling a bit short, lol.

Last night's episode has me at nuts

WTF was that all about between Cersei and Jaime at Joffrey's casket? Did he rape her? Or did she just let him have it? Was he that hard up for some booty (he could have just went to the whore house) or was that out of frustration with Cersei? It all has me at confuse

Poor Tyrion...somehow I know he'll get out of this but it's going to be a long process it seems.

Okay so it wasn't the Tyrell's who poisoned Joffrey and it now seems like Littlefinger is the culprit. But it seems like there has to be someone else in the realm involved. hmmm

I love Daenerys and all, but how many more slaves does she need to add to her army? Is it going to be season 7 before we see her finally march on to Westeros to take over?

This war between the Night's Watch and the Wildings somehow doesn't interest me that much. shrug

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah I don't know why the show went with that rape that was disturbing, I know he's completely into Cersi and all but rape adds a whole other element.

I love Jon, he's a cutie and all but Tyrion is what keeps me watching.

Yeah I know right. And to have done all of that right at Joffrey's open casket is a bit unnerving. confused

As funny as the thought of that is, I for a moment was thinking the same thing, like couldn't they walk away a few feet or something, I know he doesn't feel all daddy-ish about those kids but still, there was a whole lot "ewww" factor.

I guess Jaime can't look all mature and stable, with his new look, since all he wants to get with is his twin sister there is certain level of mental illness in that. I think I was beginning to fall for the whole 'aww, he's in love and isn't all "Angels & Insects" about it', not any more though.

I just want that little Stark who controls the wolves to go back to Kingslanding and let everybody know that Jaime fucked Cercei and that Joffrey and his brother are their sons to make an end to Lannister's family reputation,, already I can't believe everyone in westeros thinks that Joffrey is Baratheon's son, c'mon!! He's as blond as Jaime and Cercei and at least he would've had a brown hair if he was his son!!

I'm also not intrested in what happens to Jon Snow, fuck that and fuck the night's watchers and shit, I hope the story focues more on Khalesi,, I also wanna see her and her dragons arrive at Westeros, btw, in the episode of last night Jaime's dad figured out that the dragons are coming, I thought nobody knew that..!

For one thing, since I haven't read the books...I had no idea Cercie and Jamie were twins. How did I miss that? eek That makes it all more pervy to me. ill

And here's a good article from ESQUIRE about that scene (which apparently wasn't in the book quite that way) and how the writer thinks many of the scenes have been more degrading for the females characters than in the book. http://www.esquire.com/blogs/culture/game-of-thrones-rape?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_168978&dom=zerg&src=syn&mag=esq

I forget whether in the show people at least suspect. In the book people know, Stannis sent out a bunch of letters broadcasting it, they just choose to ignore it because the Lannisters aren't admitting to it (Cersi and the kids could be executed) and they are an extremely powerful family, besides the Targarens(sp?) culture practiced it like the Ancient Egyptians as a way of keeping the bloodline pure, so in that world it's not unheard of, even though technically it's an "abomination" in their culture.
Jaime isn't interest in the purity of the Lannister bloodline he just wants Cersi, and she wants him too but not the same way.

I just want to see the mammoths and the giants and stuff, of course that's from the book so who knows what they'll put in the show. I kind of like the wall, since the whole idea of the night watch is to protect men from these walkers that nobody believes in anymore.

George R.R. Martin Sounds Off on Game of Thrones' Controversial Rape Scene: "We Never Discussed" the Change

Tierney Bricker, eonline

Westeros' creator is finally weighing in.

Warning, spoilers ahead! Sunday night's outing of Game of Thrones left fans of George R.R. Martin 's epic fantasy series shocked (and slightly pissed off) after watching a sex scene between brother and sister Jaime ( Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei ( Lena Headey) Lannister —who um, reconnect next to their son King Joffrey's ( Jack Gleeson) corpse—go down in a completely different way than in the book.

In A Storm of Swords, the sex was written as consensual; on the TV show, which the ep's director described as "horrifying," Jaime rapes Cersei, who tells him to stop. "I don't care," he responds.

Now, in the comments section of his personal blog , Martin is sounding off on the controversial change made by the HBO hit's showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

Martin defends their decision to alter how the Jaime-Cersei scene went down on the small screen, explaining that the TV series is operating in a different timeline and that he wrote the scene from Jaime's point of view in the book, leaving Cersei's perception of the encounter open to interpretation. He also says that "the scene was always intended to be disturbing."

You can read Martin's entire entry below, which of course, contains major spoilers for the book series, as well as the TV series:

"I think the 'butterfly effect' that I have spoken of so often was at work here. In the novels, Jaime is not present at Joffrey's death, and indeed, Cersei has been fearful that he is dead himself, that she has lost both the son and the father/ lover/ brother. And then suddenly Jaime is there before her. Maimed and changed, but Jaime nonetheless. Though the time and place is wildly inappropriate and Cersei is fearful of discovery, she is as hungry for him as he is for her.

The whole dynamic is different in the show, where Jaime has been back for weeks at the least, maybe longer, and he and Cersei have been in each other's company on numerous occasions, often quarreling. The setting is the same, but neither character is in the same place as in the books, which may be why Dan & David played the sept out differently. But that's just my surmise; we never discussed this scene, to the best of my recollection.

Also, I was writing the scene from Jaime's POV, so the reader is inside his head, hearing his thoughts. On the TV show, the camera is necessarily external. You don't know what anyone is thinking or feeling, just what they are saying and doing.

If the show had retained some of Cersei's dialogue from the books, it might have left a somewhat different impression—but that dialogue was very much shaped by the circumstances of the books, delivered by a woman who is seeing her lover again for the first time after a long while apart during which she feared he was dead. I am not sure it would have worked with the new timeline.

That's really all I can say on this issue. The scene was always intended to be disturbing… but I do regret if it has disturbed people for the wrong reasons."

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I didnt see the scene as rapey Rape, more as he's pushing her and after protesting Cersia submits to her desire for him. I would have to ask the book readers if the relationship changes after this whether it was rape or not.

From what Im reading is that the producers didn't see this as rape.
