Isn't it ironic how the Lannister's aren't getting any sex lately? Tyrion is holding out on Shae....Cersei is holding out on Jaime. And it's not shocking, but it does irritate me how Jaime is being blamed for getting captured.

Oh I noticed right away. I've always thought Indira Varma was one of the most beautiful women. She also played in that lovely movie Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love with another GoT character (although he didn't last a whole episode)

The return to Westeros was a major one for HBO. More than 6 million viewers watched the season four premiere of Game of Thrones.

The season four premiere had 6.6 million viewers, 8.2 million when factoring in Sunday night reruns. The season four number is up from the season three debut , which had 4.4 million viewers. Game of Thrones season three ended with 5.4 million viewers.

The season four premiere is HBO's most-watched program since The Sopranos finale in 2007. Since its debut, Game of Thrones has steadily increased its viewership, becoming one of HBO's most popular shows, up there with True Blood and The Sopranos.

Veep returned to just under 1 million viewers—955,000 viewers, down from last year. New comedy Silicon Valley debuted to 2 million viewers. The return of Game of Thrones also crashed HBO Go, HBO's streaming service.

Meanwhile , Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have stated their time in Westeros will likely end after the seventh or eight season.

"If you look at the shows that we love, it's so rare for a series to go beyond that length and maintain quality," Beinoff told Vanity Fair . "And, you know, looking at Breaking Bad, which is probably the most consistently great show in history, and I think the fact that they decided relatively early, it's going to be five seasons and that's it, I think that was an incredibly smart choice."

Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.

I hope Mr. Martin wraps up his books before the series on tv ends, I hate dangling characters. I must see how Arya grows up if she grows up which would be a real shame if she doesn't, since she's going through all these experiences, she'd be one unique woman in that world.

I don't think next week is the main event. There is so much preparation to be done, too much to carry out in one episode I'd imagine.

With more than a million downloads in half a day, the premiere of Game of Thrones' fourth season has set a new piracy record. People from all over the world grabbed a copy, and at its height this morning over 300,000 BitTorrent users were sharing the episode simultaneously.

Data gathered by TorrentFreak reveals that half a day after the first episode appeared online over a million people have already grabbed a copy via a torrent site. Earlier this morning, more than 300,000 people were actively sharing one of the three most-popular torrents.

In addition to the downloads, we also looked at the countries people were sharing from. A sample of 18,333 IP-addresses collected over the day shows that Australia takes the crown with 11.6% of the total. The United States is a good second with 9.3%, followed by the United Kingdom with 5.8%.
