Hey there Tony! I didn't get the impression that the movie was expected to be at the top of the box office though. The only reason why I'm excited is because I was a die hard Jem fan in my elementary school days.

I'm not seeing this as a total "fail" just yet but they aren't impressing me much either.

First, the creator and head writer of the cartoon series Christy Marx, says she wasn't asked to write for it or even to consult on it.

Second, it's being done by Justin Bieber's "manager".

Third, it seems like it's going to be rather low budget.

However, since the announcement, there has been a whole lot of interest and excitement regarding it that I don't think was really anticipated and that could very well change things for the better.

Personally, I would love to see J&TH on the big screen, if done right because I truly the cartoon and think it's about freaking time it got some recognition.

I always heard about everyone else's childhood faves being rebooted for movies since the 1990s. Finally, the one thing I cared about.. Jem.. is being remade.

I don't care if the trailer is a turd, and they make Jerrica a separate person, I'm seeing it.

I am glad they put all the cartoons on DVD, and Christy Marx had commentary on that, I think.

I get the impression the reboot will be live action somehow? So, no matter what it will be really different.

Well when you add in those factors, it takes a little of the excitement away, but as you said, there's hope that things could turn around for the better.
