I'm a big G-fan too....can't wait for this. Hopefully it'll make us forget piece of shit from TriStar in 1998. That was Godzilla in name only.
Toho's original 1954 'Gojira' is still the best G-film ever made (not the butchered American version with Raymond Burr).

Well, I think the Matthew Broderick movie was good, as it was Godzilla's She Cousin from Another Mother's movie. So with respect that was my resolve BUT this 2014 one is Gonna Rock! I see other Kaiju in it. Mothra maybe??? Other monster Island friends? Gaigedra? Gagamera? We ahall C! Super Xcited Eyem!!! Whooo Whooo! 2 Serious 4 U 2 handle...

As for the sequels, 1964's 'Mothra vs Godzilla' is still tops after all these years. Godzilla was wickedly evil, plus a great battle against Mothra. The series jumped-the-shark after that, with Toho deciding to make Godzilla kid-friendly.

It's the only Godzilla movie where you actually see people dying during his attacks. The scene with the mom and her kids trapped with no where to go is pretty sad.
