4am........

Since february I've been waking up at 4am. sad .

I just lay in bed and check this site out or think of things I need to do.....

I don't like it because it's a shit time to b awake - I often get back to sleep at 5 and then wake up again at 6

I lose an hour of important sleep!!! And I get massive headaches every time!!!

Does this happen to u? Do u suffer from broken sleep? What do u do to stop it???

Yeah, sometimes. Thankfully not every night. Lying awake at that time is so annoying because it's too early to get up. So I just lie there making up imaginary set lists for imaginary Prince concerts (yeah, it's silly, but your mind just doesn't stop! And it's better than worrying about whatever problem you might have!) Sometimes I think it's because my mind has been too busy during the day, but then what do you do? I'm not a morning person, so going to bed early won't help. I usually catch up the next night, so it's not really a problem but I know how you feel. I'm afraid all of this isn't really helpful... hrmph

i know it isn't recommended to eat before sleeping, but for me if i'm even slightly hungry i wake up all night long. so, i actually eat before i sleep which tends to really help. i hope you feel better soon!

Eating, drinking coffee or alcohol, watching tv... Almost nothing is recommended just befote going to bed! So what do you do that last hour before hitting the sack? Just sit there? Tried that too and then you start thinking and that will also keep you awake.

Lately I've been waking up before my alarm clock as well.

Maybe it's still our bodies trying to adjust to daylight savings time?

shrug

I've also been waking up with headaches.

eek

Stress? Over-stimulation?

That's not good at all.

Try reading an Advanced Calculus textbook in bed. nod

Sometimes I think people like us just don't NEED a lot of sleep. But that is, as JJ Cale said, After Midnight. When it's 7 in the morning, I think I do need more sleep. But the later it becomes, the more awake I get.

My problem is I get so sleepy I will literally fall asleep sitting up for, maybe, 15 minutes then when I wake up I feel like I've slept for hours. Then I'm awake all night and by the time my husband gets home from work at 8am, I feel like I'm going to pass out but I still sleep no longer than three hours, four if I'm really lucky, but that hardly every happens. It doesn't bother me much, actually.. I'm lucky that I'm a stay at home mom so unless my son has sports or something, I don't have to keep a strict schedule.

Maybe if you go to bed earlier the next night, say before midnight, you will get a good night's sleep. That's the way it works with me. Good luck!

This is exactly what I do. I have even tried staying up all night, so by the time I go to bed I've been up about 30 hours, fall asleep fast and STILL wake up 3-4 hours later. My sleep analysis showed no issues so I guess I'll just deal with it. neutral
