I'm thinking 12 Years a Slave winning Best Picture, McCounaughey & Jared Leto winning Best Actor & Best Supp Actor, Lupita Nyong'o winning Supp Actress, Cate Blanchett winning Best Actress and Alfonso Cuaron for directing Gravity will win Best Director..

I'm also excited for the performances: U2, Pink, Pharrell, Idina Menzel...

I might watch the Red Carpet, though.

Ill have it on in the background but not pay much attention to it. Plus I hate Ellen.

I can't seriously believe that "American Hustle" is respected, considering it's a ripoff of everything that works well and was fresh in "Goodfellas". Now, if that is the point as a counterfeit hustle.. than I do respect it.

yes, i plan on watching! i have the same picks as you do and even entered a local "oscar derby" here where I hope to win! the "tiebreaker" question is for best adapted screenplay which had me torn between Philomena and Captain Phillips. but yeah, i'm excited, Lupita and Steve McQueen are my two celebrity crushes at the moment, and i LOVED 12 Years, powerful stuff!

No. Like Chocolate1, I gotta watch "The Walking Dead"...plus the only performances I would want to see is Pharrell and U2...besides that Ellen is boring and unfunny.

I enjoyed it but I really don't get all the oscar hype about it. I just don't see how it's an oscary movie.

I will watch, but I'm behind on my viewing as ususal. I only have Nebraska left to see of the Best Picture noms (which I'm seeing tomorrow) but I still want to catch Inside Llewyn Davis and August: Osage County.

I skipped Blue Jasmine when it was out too and was planning to see it but now I think I'm boycotting all Woody Allen stuff. Bleh.
