Do We Deserve What We Have?

Why do people die young? why do some people always say ''GOD is good'' or whoever is good. Is a child born in poverty, war, or with a disease not worthy? a child who dies before the age of 5... why was GOD not good to them? what did they do wrong? and this goes beyond just a religious question. In fact, it has little too do with religion.

Why kill me at 20? or 23? why not let me live till I'm 80? why can't i explore the world, learn new things, and experience life to the fullest. What about if you DO explore. I want to explore the world more... but do i deserve it? i feel like i have a desire too learn. But, is it more for pleasure or acquisition of knowledge. Sometimes i always feel i want to go ahead in my career, my fitness, my music skills, my language skills etc. But, do i ever take enough opportunity in it. People have died younger than me... i knew people who died of drug overdose, sickness, or gang violence etc. Before they even graduated high school. Why were they taken instead of me? is that just the natural order of life? they were young and ambitious too. They had a vice... which was drugs, or being in a gang, or driving too fast etc. And my pre-body building days. I had a vice... and that was food. And, just generally being very unhealthy. I was obese, could have probably died from that. Why did i survive, but they didn't?

Sometimes i wonder how badly we want somethings. Some day's i feel pretentious, and want to change the world. Whether it be through my sound work, my music work, or something like that. Some days i feel i am not passionate enough! and that i don't deserve to move anybody.

Why are others given a longer chance at life? chance at a career? chance at experiencing the world? when other very good people are thrown in the dirt. Do we deserve everything we're given? do we have the right amount of passion for our work to mean something? do we have the right reasons for exploring the world. Will we learn from it? or from any of our young living experiences. I feel this question is never answered...

when i watched the clips of the 2004 tsunami in indonesia, many of the survivors said exactly the same thing about having been spared when people standing next to them died. tremendous survivors' guilt.

for me, it helps to believe that 'life' is not over at death. in fact, from what i can tell, death is better than life. (which makes sense if god = love, and life = suffering). i watched a documentary called 'afterlife' in which they interviewed those who had survived near death experiences. all had the same experience: traveling up the tunnel of light, talking with someone and reviewing the events of their lives eek being told it was not time to die yet, being 'sent' back and awakening sorry to have had to return because it was better on the other side. most of them changed their lives completely and said they were no longer afraid to die at all. they lived without restraint after that. some chose to counsel terminally ill people and comfort them. the message was live without fear, live with passion for life and love

could have been an hallucination, but, thing is, the people who crossed over came back with knowledge they couldn't have had about things they'd not been told. like, what was being said about them by their familes in a room five stories up. word for word. they floated out of their bodies prior to death and had a look around. fascinating. some believe we live more than once so maybe the number of years we live isn't the point either. time doesnt mean that much anywhere except here.

anyway, if you predicate the sufffering of the life experience on an assumption that death is better than life, a step up, then it falls into place? for me anyway. good luck with that
