And, no one cares that is a 50 something. No one has ever been like ''Ahh Prince is so old how awful'' Prince also isn't self coscnious about his age. And seems to ebrace being in his 50's. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

If you are gonna lie about your age, then please shave or color the pubage so your lady doesn't feel like she's about to fuck Santa Clause.
Welcum back to the party P-lady.

I'm in my early 30s, but someone in his late 20's thought I was younger, mid-20's. I also have been guessed as older, so who knows. |

Haha! True
I can still remember the days when I had to lie about my age to get into nightclubs in the late 90s. The dance music scene was amazing in the UK then, no way I was missing out on that. But it was always tense approaching the bouncers.
Went to a club about a year ago for a laugh with couple of mates (it was sh*t!...nothing likes the glory days of 98/99). The bouncer at the front of the queue was debating age with these two young guys trying to get int so shouted out that he was IDing everyone. I was thinking "damn, I've got no photo ID with me"...we get to the front and he takes one look and waves me straight through. I ended up having the the hump that I wasn't ID'd....how times change! |

I assume these men are (gay/bi/discrete)?
I don't know of 'straight' men who feel the need to lie about their age
unless they are really screwed up and going after younger women |

...kinda what I said on page 1...
.
Younger women might be just as 'screwy' since many of them go after older men, for...well, a number of reasons.

Cinny...so excitable with the question marks there...maybe it was the word 'straight', that got her / him going.
.
No one said 'never', but folk are trying so hard (and failing) to blow this nonsense up as an issue that affects heterosexual men, when it simply doesn't.
Thread was started by a gay guy talking about his experiences.
.
Really gonna have to find other ways to fault hetero guys other than this issue I'm afraid...which shouldn't be too hard for many of you. |

I just said, it's straight men that happens too who are screwed up and going after younger women
But over all for a straight men to get older isn't an issue. We don't lie about our age or have an issue with telling our age overall.
A friend of mine(who is gay) says that's a common thing among gay men. 40 and up, (whether it's an 'online' profile or something else) the age isn't always the truth. [Edited 3/18/14 12:38pm] |

I was watching that show about the online dating scene for (straight) men, and there was a part that indicated at least 80% of the women online lie about their age |

...wondering if people think women 'cougars' who go after young men are similarly 'screwed up'.
That reminds me...which 'gender', on average, is more likely to conceal their age and less likely to want to talk about it?

I think people do think that. Women (older) who go after younger men are looked at diiferently.
Isn't Madonna being targeted for it?
But it's not about going after someone younger, it's the why, that raises the issue
And then we look at what is this older person doing to get the younger? If she/he is lying about there age, that's a problem
What's the term for older men who go after young women?
Answer to your 2nd question: Women
