I tuned in just in time to see Bette Midler, Idina Menzel and the songwriters of Let It Go win their award. Good timing. |

Jared has always been a great actor just check out this film: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapter_27
Yes...he is such a method actor. Digs deep into the character. Sometimes too deep...
Jared gained 62 lbs for his role, playing John Lennon's murderer “Mark David Chapman” in 2007's 'Chapter 27.' It’s not unusual for actors to gain weight for roles, but in an interview he displays the calculated efficiency with which he gained and lost the weight (6 weeks both ways).
And the process sounded more like a job – he described microwaving Haagan Daaz Ice cream pints to drink them quickly, lacing them with soy sauce to help ‘bloat’ him. He lost the weight by going on an all-liquid diet consisting of lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water. He lost 20 lbs. in 10 days. He was diagnosed with gout because of his rapid weight gain.

I was happy because of Brad but McQueen creeps me out. He seems like someone who would torture puppies.
For the first time ever most of the people I was pulling for won...Kate, Lupita, Matthew, etc.
I thought Ellen was a lot better than any host in recent memory. I loved the whole pizza thing,
Pink can sing her ass off.
Where was George Clooney?

Yeah she was so beautiful. Messed up her face. She can't even talk now. What happened to aging gracefully?

I watched him in a few interviews and took an instant dislike to him for some reason. I have no idea why.

The RIGHT choice to give 12 Years a Slave the Best Picture Award has single-handedly saved an otherwise sorry edition...now this superior movie will eclipse the rest of the overrated stuff...
and glad to see that the Best Actress Award has gone to a PROPER actress,... Jennifer who??

Exactly Joe, Jennifer who? she's the most overrated actress today and I don't understand why critics tend to kiss her ass and O Russell's ass.. Glad he went home with 0 awards Thats what you get when you make an overhyped shitty ass film!!
Lupita/Jared/Cate/Matthew/Alfonso and 12 Years Slave, Congratulations to all of these guys & films!!!! What a night, 21000x better than last year when Joaquin was snubbed |

It was just not meant to be Liza Minnelli's night.
That's her in the royal blue outfit, trying her best to get in "most retweeted pic ever".

Dallas Buyer's Club deserved all the awards it got. Leto & McConaughey were superb. Blanchett was excellent in Blue Jasmine but without her I'm not sure if that movie would have been so popular.
Easy to understand the hatred for Lawrence. She's young, fine and talented. Not to mention her charming & witty personality. Pure Hollywood gold she is. You people are just jealous.
Lupita gave the speech of the night though. And McConaughey. What a great year for movies! Seemed like something good out there for everyone.
Great to see that American Hustle got so many nominations. That was my favorite of the year.
The musical performances were shit though. Pharrell doesn't have a good voice. He should have given that song to Timberlake. Not saying that Timberlake's voice is good but his falsetto is better than Pharrell's. |

Oh please. She plays shitty, unlikeable characters. I means overplays them. I don't know anything about herpersonally to be jealous of anything. |

One of the highlights are Karen O's acoustic and gentle performance of "The Moon Song"
I'm glad Spike Jonze won Best Screenplay, he deserves it.
Excited for next year's Oscars, we have Interstellar, Noah, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Gone Girl, Exodus and Inherent Vice, only the finest of today's directors will gather.. |
