What's the strangest or most Obsessive thing you've ever done in order to lose weight?

What crazy Diets or Binges or Pills have you used to try to beat the BATTLE OF THE BULGE? Did any actually WORK?

i went through a period where i just limited myself to 500 calories a day, i'll be going back to it soon too because it really worked.
it teaches you discipline(i know i havent spelt that right) and it really made me feel better looking at people who were pigging out and being able to say "i have control over what i put in my body"

I once went a whole DAY without eating anything. Thats right muthas fuckas. Dont worry tho, I compensated for my hunger by drinking vast amounts of beer 2 help me thro it wink

my sister has gone 4, god knows what she did to her insides.

i've gone 2 and a bit, but starving isnt a good way to do it: starvation mode and you put on more weight!!!


drink lots of water. it'll fill you up, you'll taste the food you're eating more and it cleans your system out.

Used a cleaver "Merchant of Venice" style and lost about 10 lbs and 2 pints of blood.

Truth be told now. I was ill early last month due 2 food poisoning. Anyway I was so weak during my brief illness that I didnt eat a single thing for 4.5 days. I lost loads of weight it was scary cuz I looked really thin. Dont worry tho, I compensated for my subsequent skinnyness by drinking vast amounts of beer 2 help me thro it. wink

I was not doing it on purpose I was going through alot at the time, but I straved myself for more days then anyone here.

Once I went about two weeks where all I ate were bananas and drank water. Not because I wanted to lose weight but because of some emotional crap that I was going through over the summer.

I also had trouble sleeping, and I felt like a nervous wreck all of the time. Stomach pains, etc...

I lost more than 10 lbs and felt like shit ALL of the time. First time I ever lost sleep/my appetite over a stupid boy. Talk about intense. sigh
I mean, like, where is the sun?

I didn't eat for 3 months ... nothing except for a vitamin/mineral supplement 3 times a day and tons of water. Lost loads of weight but it was probably the most stupid and dangerous thing I've ever done to my body. Wouldn't do it again.

lol...I get on my treadmill 20 minutes a day for 4 days a week and stopped eating red meat...Now this is strange because most people take a pill, stop eating or God know's what else...Its a matter of lifestyle, eating habits, that controls your weight.

I've never had to work on losing weight...Just the opposite, in fact.

My freshmen year at band camp, it was so hot,a nd we were outside so much, I was always too hot to eat, and half sick when I came home from the heat, so I just sort of went to bed. During the two week period, I dropped from 118 lbs to 112, and had to work on gaining it back by drinking these Weight Gain shakes from GNC.

Actually this is basically for cardio vascular activity/Colesterol control..I do not "gain" nor do I lose it...I am basically the same as I always have been..Of course a few pounds heavier...shrug

I lost over 10 lbs in one week when I had pneumonia and didnt eat for a week.

For some godforsaken reason, I actually put on weight while I was hooked on coke. (The myth is you supposedly loose your appetite when on it, but noone mentions the next day when you feel like shit and eat more, lol)

The healthiest way I lost weight was just simply doing a half hour on ski machine and a half hour biking every day. I could even go out on weekends and pig out on wings and it wouldnt affect me.

To my husband's dismay I went on a diet where I ate nothing but salad, with the same dressing (the ONLY dressing I like), and applesauce and things like that. I got berated because according 2 him I am not overweight but I'd love to lose 10 pounds. smile

I used to be terribly skinny but about 5 years ago I made a huge effort in the gym, and started eating way more than I usually did etc in a bid to increase my weight. It worked a treat and I'm now a very healthy weight and feel much better for it!

I think when you have alot of sex you are too busy to eat and when you don't well you gotta satisfy that craving if you are an Oral kinda Person . I guess chewing Gum,Smoking,Water anything that can satisy your Mouth. Nothing works for me. I'm eating all the time lately. I gotta stop it already. Being Divorced is hard for lack of Sex.

Sure if you are sexually active it does help...but if you feel like eating, if you are not hungry but just feel like chewing...I myself get a glass of ice (like at work) and chew it...hear it crunch...! Chewing gum helps by putting air in ur stomach and makes you feel full...DONT SMOKE! Love your body,,,Love yourself, dont hurt yourself...Drink lots of water...at least 48 ounces a day (if you chew ice)...Hope this helps you in some way...But never forget to reward yourself...Friday-Sunday...eat whatever you want...just lay off the red meat and frying ur food. biggrin ...Sorry to hear bout ur divorce sad

Thanks Oceana. I already told people but I'll tell ya again about my weight problem. I would Starve ,I would Vomit,I would use Water Pills . I would Drink Slimfast which does work. I also used to get Body Wraps which makes you Lose basically Water Weight. I feel that Good Nutrition Along with Regular Exercise is the Key to losing Weight. But I'll Always Feel Fat! Sometimes I think the only way is Liposuction and a Tummy Tuck honestly.
