Cee Lo not doing theVoice anymore. http://www.nydailynews.co...-1.1619515 Message From CeeLo“I'm officially announcing today that I won't be returning as a coach on The Voice cycle 7 in the Fall. There are numerous reasons that led to this decision, which has been amicably reached with NBC, but I'm excited to be developing several other ideas with the network and my association with NBC remains strong. The Voice has been an immensely enjoyable experience for me and I can only hope I have enriched the lives of our viewers, the contestants, and the many friends I made there. I will always be there in spirit. Meanwhile, NBC and I plan to continue our relationship with several new co-ventures including a new music show, while we also explore our ideas for me to create and host a new show of my own. I will not go quietly into the night... expect more great music and entertainment done in my own unique unmistakable and undeniable way. The Voice has given me all the altitude and incentive to do just that. Thanks for the memories and make way for many more!”

From what I read he did this before he was fired. He may be serving time for that date-rape case against him. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

It's interesting for me, because I have watched this show since it's debut. At the time, I really had no idea who Cee Lo Green was. And even now that I am familiar with him, he doesn't strike me as having "a voice." I don't dislike him ("F**K YOU!" is a great song!), but I can't vibe with most of his music. Lovesexy Funkateer

I watched clips of "The Voice" never the show...So Cee Lo can go in the night cuz I never gave the show a chance. I like all the Judges on the show but I'm just about done with Vocal Talent shows...

I've watched the show off and on and always thought, "why the fuck is that Cee Lo dude on it?". He was awkward, uninspiring and pretty lame as a judge.

Just learned from a dj on the radio that that song was written by Bruno Mars. Guess he wrote it for Cee Lo, and he fits the vibe of that song.

An insider with knowledge of Green’s situation revealed that the entertainer’s decision to quit the popular NBC show was done more to avoid being fired by the network and Mark Burnett Productions, the producer of “The Voice.”
...Although NBC wanted to join Green in announcing his departure together, a second insider with knowledge of the situation stated that the “F-You” singer opted to drop the news on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
The timing of Green’s announcement puts producers in a complicated position as they are unsure what to do with his vacant coach’s seat. The departure caps off a period of ups and downs regarding Green during the fifth season of “The Voice.” A season that included, as the insider described, at least one “meltdown,” according to the TheWrap.
With Burnett spend a lot of time with the emotional rapper/singer last season and at least two occasions where Green had to leave the set, there was a general belief among those involved with “The Voice” that the weight of potential prison time from a legal case had taken its toll on the entertainer.
Green is accused of slipping ecstasy to a 33-year-old woman ecstasy while the pair was dining at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant last July of last year. He’s charged with furnishing a controlled substance, a felony charge that can land him up to four years in state prison... "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack
