I try not to collect crap, but I do like old books. Especially weird medical ones and pretty poetry ones.

The local library system holds huge quarterly book sales at the park across from where I live. It is very, very dangerous. Especially the last day of the sale; everything is half off. Oh my gawd. If anybody knows of a cheap source of sturdy bookshelves. . .mine are all full, and I'm starting to stack books on the floor. . .it's baaad. . .

I don't really collect any specific thing, except maybe
for my Prince albums and my books.

But I do collect these plastic chips from clubs I've
been to. You know, the ones you use to buy a drink with;
I've collected a whole jar full of those over the years,
all from different places.

Same thing with holiday trivia, like little cards from the
restaurants I had dinner in London or entrance flyers from
Prince concerts in Rotterdam or Gaugain exhibitions in
Berlin.

And stuff I nick during trips and holidays as reminders,
like a midget-golfball, some chunks off the Berlin wall,
vodka bottletops from Moskow, flyers from art exhibits,
postcards from the Louvre, pieces of taxus clipped from
the gardens of Vaux-Le-Vicompte [our tourleader nearly
had a stroke on the spot].

I started collecting things like that about 5 years ago.
At first it seemed rather stupid to just keep all those
little things. But I just threw them into a large box
without thinking of it again and now when you look at it
it is a nice collection and every thing in there has it's
own story etc. It's nice for dreary sundays, or to bore
the liver out of your grandchildren in 30 years' time.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I'm sure that would help. Gotta let it heal after the Bobbit, ya know.
