Rate the last shampoo and conditioner you used!

Tres Semme, both get a 0 from me.
It doesn't even de-tangle my hair.

Elvital "Anti-breakage", shampoo and conditioner. razz I'm using conditioner because otherwise my hair gets really messy during the winter when wearing a hat. I gave up the fight and did what women do.

Rate? Uhm, six out of ten? At least I don't keep losing as much hair as I do with other cheap stuff. It's an added bonus that I don't end up smelling like pineapple, peaches or some shit like that as a result.

Avalon Organics Volumizing Shampoo and conditioner..

I am very picky about my conditioner because I hate a heavy one that weighs my hair down or makes it look "greasy" and flat...

This stuff is awesome! I have also found since switching to all organic products such as this shampoo and conditioner, I dont have to condition it everyday!

In an experimental phase in my life I used baking soda as a shampoo and that worked out great. The only problem was that the recipes also called for using vinegar as the conditioner and supposedly it was supposed to act as a detangler, but it never worked for my hair. But the baking soda really made my hair healthy. My bottles of Tres Semme is almost finished and I will need to buy some new shampoo / conditioner soon. What to do, what to do.

I use Dr. Bronners Magic Soap (an organic, sulfate-free liquid castile soap) then Dr. Bronner's virgin coconut oil all over, including my hair. Love it.

That said, my hair is buzzed. smile If it were longer, I'd likely try Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse (with shakakai powder; citrus extracts; and hemp, olive, and coconut oils). I cannot vouch for its performance, but I can share its appeal as a natural product that reportedly leaves hair clean-rinsed, detangled, smooth, and shiny for some people. On the cautionary side, the product is concentrated and calls for dilution; and, as it contains real lemon and orange extracts, it has a distinct citrus scent until your hair dries and can sting a bit if you have small cuts or abrasions on your head or body. (I'd also wonder if the lemon might have a bleaching effect in the summer.)

If you can't find the conditioner (I don't recall seeing it in stores), I believe it is available for order from Dr. Bronner's website. The Magic Soap is everywhere, though.

I found it in our local natural foods store. It was $9.69, much better than amazon and from Dr. Bronner's site, at least I didn't have to pay that postage fee. biggrin

Right now I'm using Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner. The fragrance is lovely. I desperately need to get my hair cut. It's been like 11 weeks now. omg I usually get it cut every 8 weeks or so. Thinking about getting a shag and some color put in (blonde highlights). It's always scary to go for layers cuz there's no turning back once it's cut. My hair is all one length at the moment and so easy to pull back (I don't like hair in my face). I haven't put any color in my hair for a very long time (I'm au naturale at the mo). Color maintenance is a drag but I'm getting the itch. boxed

I'm alternating between Aveda Rosemary Mint and Aveda Brillance for shampoos. I like them both. I go for a less expensive conditioner - usually Herbal Essences, Garnier, that sort of thing. I just got a new one called Clear (from Unilever) but I'm not really feeling it. I feel like it's leaving residue on my hair.
