I agree. Concerning hate speech, Facebook most definitely sends mixed messages.

I guess i have 2 be for freedom of speech on the Net but honestly IMO, some people take things way too far.

On the net, any idiot with a chip on their shoulder can say(and show images of) the most hateful, evil, disgusting things and get away with it because they're behind a computer screen.

Sounds like BS. But you could put a warning above your statements. Something to the effect that this is a parody or this is a list of ironic commentary on the racist commentary fed through facebook daily.

I got suspended for friend requestiong people i KNEW! they said they did not know me. But i am sure i knew most of them anyway. But it is a problem with FB. how can you know if that is the same person? you used to be able to send a message with the request! Now a message to a non-friend will go into other and not show as an allert.

to me if you are ON facebook you are open to all that.

I use Batbook, good way to keep in touch with my Superfriends.

As I've mentioned before the people who want to see or contact have -- long before Facebook came into being-- found a way to do so. Our high-school reunion President has always done an excellent job of knowing where people live and how you can contact them, as an example. I'm not interested in being apart of a data collection enterprise... so some founders and their stockholders can become wealthy. Pick up a phone, email me, or yes write me a damn letter.

Facebook is hypocritical. I reported a threat at a Facebook page a few weeks ago but they claimed it wasn't a serious threat. It wasn't towards me but just in general for some weird reason.

A few years ago, members of my family were having some Facebook showdown because apparently they were arguing about Jesus' real name (Yahweh) and accusations flying back and forth.

Hell, kissing is tame. One of my previous cover photos over there was of a white guy inbetween two black guys and their crothes in each of his hands.
