Questions about threading.....

What do u know about threading as an alternative hair removal technique?

It seems to b a craze here at the moment...

Does it work? Is it better than waxing? What's the pain like?

Had anyone here had it done????

well, as with any hair removal it hurts.. Its pulling the hairs out of your skin! lol The results are good... The threader has to be good or she can twist your skin in the threads... Doesnt take as long as plucking! biggrin

Good points about it.... No chemicals! No sticky wax tearing off layers of skin! no razor burn!

I prefer it for my brows. Elsewhere I've never tried.

No problem. I like threading. At first because it was exotic. Now because it does get the fine hairs, it's precise, it's fast, doesn't cost much and doesn't hurt as much as tweezing. But as far as the more sensitive parts of the body, I'm not sure, seems like waxing would be better since there aren't as many fine hairs to worry about and those hairs seem to be tougher to remove, i.e. more painful to pull out. But people have tweezed those parts for centuries so I wouldn't be surprised if you could thread them too. Seems a bit torturous though.
