If you want drama that asks some pretty deep questions, then this is it. It's political drama, religious debate, psychological suspense, epic adventure, deep metaphor or just plain fun - but your Daddy's Sci Fi this ain't, drawing on real-world allegory of the War on Terror, complete with monotheistic religious fundamentalists, sleeper cells, civil-liberty crackdowns, prisoner torture scandals, suicide bombers, you name it, it touches on a huge number of issues that we're all aware of in the here and now but in a really clever way. Under the guise of Sci Fi it asked the questions other shows couldn't (or just plain wouldn't).

The above trailer is geared towards those who have never seen the show, and attempts to set-up the basic premise without giving too much away.

As someone whom is fortunate to count a couple of people as friends with very close ties to the show, I have these pieces of advice for you:

1) The internet is not your friend - avoid looking up anything on the show! (Or talking with people about it until you've watched it all)

2) Ensure you watch the two-part Miniseries first (I think it's available on Netflix as one whole movie) - much like LOST, it starts off at a slower pace than the show proper. Give it some breathing room - although if you're not interested after Season 1's opener "33", I wouldn't bother.

3) The TV movie "Razor" should be watched between the end of Season Three and the before Season Four because of reasons.

4) Don't watch "The Plan" until after the series finale.

5) Don't listen to other people, watch it and make your own mind up. This isn't Star Trek.

6) You can thank me later.
