HBO: 'Boardwalk Empire' ending in fall

HBO: 'Boardwalk Empire' ending in fall

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — HBO says its drama "Boardwalk Empire" will end after a fifth season this fall.

The series stars Steve Buscemi (boo-SHEM'-ee) as "Nucky" Thompson, the backroom dealer of Prohibition-era Atlantic City. The show won five Emmy awards in September.

Creator Terry Winter said Thursday that the decision to end things came after a great deal of discussion with HBO and his creative team. He says he looks forward to bringing the series to a powerful and exciting conclusion.

What did I say??!!?? This is great news though. The show has been excellent and I'd rather see this 5th season as its last rather than them dragging the show on for another few seasons when it's become stale.

So with this news, I think it's pretty clear that Chalky will probably die. Nucky may die too, but either way, I believe that Mickey will have a big role in his downfall.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I heard this this morning. As much as I like the show, I'm kind of glad.
I think it would just keep dragging on...

I watched "Weeds" up until the end, and it was painful.

I haven't decided if I'm going to go back to "True Blood" when it returns. Last season just made me mad.

Girl the past couple of seasons have been bland. I'm not sure if I'm going to bother tuning in this last season either. The first three seasons were fire, after that it started dying a slow death, the true death.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That is kind of surprising.
