What would you do?
Ok... I am starting a new job next week and have found out they have been purchased by a company that goes against everything I believe in... ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

Ex-Moderator | If you can afford to be choosy, be choosy. If you can't, take the job and keep looking for something better.
Personally I don't think I could ever work for a company that I was at complete odds against. I've had some unhappiness with my current company but they usually make things right and I'm able to see progress when it's important.
But that's all well and good when you're coming from a privileged position. You're not always able to be so choosy and then it makes sense to do what you can live with until you can make a better choice. |

i'm sure you will want oppinions from people, who have worked for a livin, to answer you qwestion.
my outllok on these kinds of qwestions are simple. i rarely do things i object to. however, i've been in school the past two years, and in close proximity to people i find objectionable. i didn't qwit school because of its benefits to me. in the cases where i was instructed to do things that really were against my values i stated my intentions to decline participation and accepted my grade accordingly. 'F' i had to do this twice this semester. i work hard for my grades and i sought, and was given alternative projects that gained even more points, so i did not suffer.
one has to only decide to either bare a dicomfort, grin and bare it. OR know that it may cause more harm to them and their reputation (when a person has takin as much as they can stand, sometimes things get said in the heat of the moment) more long lastin harm than good.
i hope your choice is simple. and it seems that when one makes choices according to decency, something good always comes alo ng. i am KING BAD!!!

I would work there - do what is required and go home
Do that until you find something else where you would be happier
Also you never know.... u may really like it and the people who took over may not be actually running the show
I always give things like this a try because not knowing would really bother me!

If you can afford to lose the job and/or think it'll be easy for you to get a replacement job I say leave. But if not then just stick around and see.

if i had money to keep looking for work i'd do so. if not, i'd take the job and keep looking over the long term. good luck
