Crackhead Toronto Mayor says woman accused him of wanting to perform oral sex on her-he has" enough to eat at home"

http://news.nationalpost....dia-scrum/

Rob Ford claims he has 'more than enough to eat at home'

Warning: Graphic language, details

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne indicated the province is willing to step in if Toronto City Council asks for help in dealing with Mayor Rob Ford.

Today's Ford developments

• Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne opens door to taking action on Ford
• Mayor Ford threatens legal action against former staffers over drug and prostitution claims
• Ford stuns media with ‘degrading’ comments about his alleged verbal abuse of female city hall staffer
• Mayor apologizes with wife by his side, pushes his way through media
• Toronto Argonauts ‘disappointed’ Ford was wearing team’s jersey when he made the remarks
• Councillors turn back on mayor in city hall council chamber, renew calls for Ford to step aside
• Mayor admits to occasionally drinking and driving after latest claims in new police document

“The things we are seeing and hearing about Mayor Rob Ford are truly disturbing. Yesterday, City Council voted to request the mayor take a leave of absence,” the premier said in a quickly-organized press conference.

“If council were to clearly indicate that they lack the ability to function as a result of this matter, the province would respond to a request from council to be provided new tools, depending on what that request might be.”

Wynne said she would consult with other parties in the minority legislature “to see if our legislature could move unanimously if required.”

The premier was careful to say the province would not be imposing its will on the city of Toronto, but would be empowering the city to make its own decisions.

“It is up to the municipal level of government to address the issues they face. It is not the provincial government’s role, nor its intention to impose its preferences upon that government,” she said.

City council, by a large majority, passed a motion Wednesday asking the mayor to step down to deal with his personal issues. However, City Council does not have any power to remove Ford from the mayor’s office.

Several councillors have called for the province to step in to remove Ford, which it can do through an amendment to the City of Toronto Act or special legislation.

Earlier Thursday, Ford said he is receiving help from health care professionals and apologized for profane comments made earlier Thursday, but defiantly said his former staffers were “lying” about allegations of escorts and cocaine use.

He said he would not offer specifics on what the “team of health care professionals” are helping him with. Ford made the statement with his wife, Renata Ford, standing silently by his side in a rare public appearance.

“The revelations yesterday of cocaine, escorts and prostitution has pushed me over the line and I used unforgivable language and I apologize,” Ford said, referring to this morning’s sexually explicit comments. “This allegations are 100% lies.

“When you attack my integrity as a father, and as a husband, I see red,” he said.

Police documents released Wednesday said a staffer believed Ford was intoxicated at the Garrison Ball event earlier this year and had his two children with him.

“I have tried to move forward. This has proven to be almost impossible. For the last six months, I have been under tremendous, tremendous stress. The stress is largely of my own making,” Ford said.

After the statement, Ford aggressively pushed his way through the crowded room of reporters with his wife in tow, rather than take the back exit.

Councillor John Parker said Ford was using his wife as a “convenient prop.”

Earlier, Ford said is taking legal action against the former staffers who made stunning allegations about the mayor in a police document, saying he consorted with escorts and made sexually explicit statements to a woman working for him.

In a profane media scrum aired live on television that left journalists gasping, Ford, wearing a Toronto Argonauts jersey, denied many of the allegations laid forth in the court documents, although he admitted to occasionally drinking and driving.

Rob Ford's full comments to media

I couldn’t comment yesterday ’cause I didn’t read the documents that was released. Unfortunately, um, it’s unfortunate, I have to take legal action.

I don’t appreciate people calling Alana a prostitute. I never had a prostitute here. I’m very happily married at home. This is very disturbing against my wife.

Unfortunately, I have to take legal action against Isaac Ransom and George Christopoulos and Mark Towhey.

I have to take legal action against the waiter that said I was doing lines at the Bier Markt. That is outright lies, that is not true.

You know what? But it hurts my wife, when they’re calling a friend of mine a prostitute. Alana is not a prostitute. She’s a friend and it makes me sick how people are saying this.

So unfortunately, um, I have no other choice. I’m the last one to take legal action. I can’t put up with it anymore. So I’ve named the names. Um, litigation will be starting shortly. I’ve had enough. That’s why I warned you guys yesterday be careful what you wrote, ok, so …

And the next thing, I wanna call Mayor [Bratina] in Hamilton and tell him we’re going to spank their little Tiger-Cats.

Oh ah, the last thing was, um. [Name of female staffer], it says I wanted to eat her pussy, [name of female staffer]. I never said that in my life to her. I would never do that. I’m happily married I’ve got more than enough to eat at home.

He was particularly angry about his staffers telling police that they thought a young friend of his was a prostitute.

“I don’t appreciate people calling Alana a prostitute, I never had a prostitute here, I’m very happily married at home,” he said. “She’s a friend and it makes me sick that people are saying this.”

The mayor said he would be suing his former chief of staff, Mark Towhey, former press secretary George Christopolous and former communications officer Isaac Ransom for the comments they made to police in court documents made public Wednesday.

Ford then said he never said “I want to eat your pussy” to a former female staffer, an allegation contained in the court document.

“I’m happily married, I have more than enough to eat at home,” he said, drawing gasps from the reporters gathered around his office.

The mayor also said he is suing a waiter at the Bier Markt who thought the mayor was doing lines of coke on St. Patrick’s Day, 2012.

“That is outright lies, that is not true. It hurts my wife when they’re calling a friend of mine a prostitute, a prostitute, Alana is not a prostitute. She’s a friend. And it makes me sick how people are saying this,” he said. “Unfortunately I have no other choice, I’m the last one to take legal action, I can’t put up with it anymore. I’ve named the names, legal action will start shortly, I’ve had enough.”

The statements made to police in the course of a police investigation are protected under Canadian law from defamation actions under the defence of privilege. The principle behind the defence is that the justice system would not be able to function if witnesses faced civil action over statements given to investigators. Information contained in certain court documents, such as an Information to Obtain a search warrant, is also privileged.

However, witnesses who provide false statements to police could face criminal charges such as obstruction of justice or perjury.

Asked later about allegations of drinking and driving, Mayor Ford said he “might have had some drinks and driven, which is absolutely wrong.”

Asked by a reporter how he can still be mayor with that admission, the mayor retorted: “I’m not perfect.. I know none of you guys have ever, ever had a drink and gotten behind the wheel. I know that.”

When asked by another reporter as the elevator doors closed if he is going to take a leave of absence, the mayor said: “You guys can take a leave of absence.”

Madd Canada issued a statement saying the organization is “extremely concerned and frustrated to learn of reports of Mayor Ford’s admission that he has driven after drinking.”

“We strongly urge him to consider the tragic consequences that can occur when someone drives impaired. On average, four people are killed (and) 175 people are injured in Canada every day in impairment-related crashes.”

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair was asked about whether charges could be laid after Ford’s admissions, but he deferred from commenting directly.

The mayor’s language drew sharp condemnation from members of council, some of whom stood in objection as a meeting resumed Thursday.

Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong spoke angrily after the mayor’s media scrum, demanding that he resign because of the language he just used.

Tyler Anderson / National Post
Tyler Anderson / National PostCouncillors turn their backs on Toronto mayor Rob Ford as he speaks during a council meeting at City Hall in Toronto, Ontario, November 14, 2013.

“The mayor has got to go, after admitting drinking and driving and the absolutely vulgar language,” said Minnan-Wong.

“He’s crossed the line, no apology would suffice in this circumstance… he has to resign. There is no doubt in my mind that he should not be mayor of this city.”

Minnan-Wong said he hoped the premier was watching. Council has no power to remove Ford, but the province does.

Councillor Janet Davis called the mayor’s comments “repugnant” and “distasteful.”

“They were degrading to a former staff person. His own wife. It was disgusting,” she said.

“We want him to go away, leave. Take a leave, quit, whatever. Stop speaking on behalf of the city, stop participating in our council meetings and committee meetings as though you have some kind of stature.

“I think the veneer has finally come off Mayor Rob Ford. You’re now seeing the real Rob Ford.”

Tyler Anderson / National Post
Tyler Anderson / National PostToronto mayor Rob Ford speaks angrily to council about new allegations released yesterday during the start of a council meeting at City Hall in Toronto, Ontario, November 13, 2013.

Even the mayor’s beloved Toronto Argonauts were upset by the comments — made while wearing the team’s jersey.

“The situation with respect to the Mayor and his leadership is unseemly at best. These latest remarks, while wearing our team’s jersey are particularly disappointing given our organization’s work in the community to help youth deal with issues of bullying prevention,” the Argos said in a series of tweets posted Thursday morning.

“We hope for the benefit of the wonderful citizens of Toronto and this great city that this situation is resolved expeditiously.”

Ford, appearing in city council a few minutes after he made his comments, refused to apologize.

“I’m not apologizing. Put yourself in my shoes,” he said. “Enough is enough. That’s it.”

Tyler Anderson / National PostToronto mayor Rob Ford speaks to media in front of his office announcing that he will sue a number of former staffers and issuing vulgar statements on live t.v. at City Hall in Toronto, Ontario, November 14, 2013.

Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti, a top Ford ally, said that Ford needed to step aside and he wanted to get him into rehab by the end of the day.

“You need treatment, go now,” he said. “If you don’t do that by the end of the day, you’ve lost me as well.

“Nobody whether they are an addict…it’s no excuse to treat women the way I am seeing this unfolding. That’s not the way for any mayor… to be acting.”

Ford returned to council late Monday morning (still wearing the football jersey), questioning costs about the BIXI bike-sharing program.

A number of councillors literally turned their backs to mayor as he spoke.

Councillor Josh Matlow seemed resigned that Thursday was going to be another wild day in city council.

“The mayor has returned. The Council agenda’s slowing down now. And he’s wearing a football jersey.” he said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Sun News announced that they would be featuring a new show called “Ford Nation,” hosted by the Ford brothers, who had their radio show cancelled earlier this week.

Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina also announced he would not be making any bets with Ford or participating with the Toronto’s mayor’s office ahead of Sunday’s playoff game.

Ford badly mangled Bratina’s name Thursday morning saying: “I want to call Mayor Britannia in Hamilton and tell him that we’re going to have to spank their little Tiger-Cats.”

Its sad when local team town feels degraded by u wearing their Jerry as u apologize for crack use, alcoholism, hooker employment, and make a feeble attempts to deny sexual harrasment.

The 'peoples mayor' no more. The Argonauts dont want u in their Jerry no more. Why don't u go home...give it a rest...and find a way to live your life that doesn't make the local team embarrassed that you're wearing their jersy.

Hell...replacing him with Kanye West would be be a step UP. They should help themselves and call Anthony Weiner. He'd be the least of their worries.

And this picture:
... Is just too much. I couldn't he any more perfect. He looks like a kindergartner sitting down for quiet/snack time after having thrown a fit. Cute little glass of milk and matching wittle milk-moustache... giggle

He was only wearing their jersey when he said "eat her pussy". And, technically, he's only admitted to crack use.

I've got to admit I'm kind of enjoying this. giggle

I appriciate the correction. My remarks were wrong. I'm not going back to make any edits tho...cuz...well...all of its shit.

He straight up said that on camera. 'Eat her pussy.' What was worse was the 'I get MORE of enough of that to eat at home'. WTF! U know your wife is gonna see this...yeah? I hope she's not a bit overweight, less this be a fatty crackin' on a fatty....who prolly isn't a fatty where it counts. Anywhichway...I suspect his diet will see a drastic change if his wife has a nano-liter more self-respect than him.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford told reporters Thursday he is "receiving support" from health-care professionals, and apologized for his lewd remarks earlier in the day.

I am receiving support from a team of health-care professionals ... I am taking accountability and receiving advice from people with expertise," Ford, joined by his wife Renata, told a swarm of reporters at city hall shortly after noon, adding he did not wish to elaborate.

Ford expressed regret over his remarks earlier in the day, in which he used a crude expression while denying allegations he had made sexual advances toward a former female staffer. The remarks drew vocal criticism from other city councillors.

The allegations have "pushed me over the line," he said. "I acted on complete impulse in my remarks."

"When you attack my integrity as a father and a husband, I see red," he added. He asked the media to respect his family's privacy.

Ford left without taking questions but moments later made the unusual move of coming back through the news conference area, rather than leaving through a private exit. He and his wife forced their way through the crowd, with help from a staffer who roughly shoved one cameraman aside.

Ford earlier in the day threatened legal action against former chief of staff Mark Towhey and others following the release of court documents quoting individuals alleging he has repeatedly used drugs and been seen with a woman who may have been a prostitute.

"Unfortunately, I have to take legal action," Ford said.

Ford also singled out his former press secretary, George Christopolous, former deputy press secretary Issac Ransom and a waiter at Toronto's Bier Markt, the downtown nightspot that allegedly was the scene of a much-discussed incident on St. Patrick's Day 2012.

"I have to take legal action against the waiter that said I was doing lines [of cocaine] at the Bier Markt, that is outright lies. That is not true," he said. The documents include descriptions by former staff and others of Ford's alleged behaviour.

Ford also denied that the blond woman described in the court documents is a prostitute.

"She’s a friend and it makes me sick how people are saying this," he said. "I can’t put up with it anymore."

Ford then shocked reporters when he went on to refute the alleged sexual advance.

The woman "said I wanted to eat her p—y," Ford said before cameras.

"I’ve never said that in my life to her. I would never do that. I'm happily married. I've got more than enough to eat at home."

'Might' have driven drunk

Ford is also alleged to have driven while drunk, which he addressed, upon emerging from his office a few minutes later, saying: "I might have had some drinks and driven."

He went on to remark he is "not perfect" and disappeared into an elevator.

That admission drew a response from the Canadian branch of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, whose purpose is to stop impaired driving and to support victims.

"Driving under the influence of alcohol is inexcusable behaviour for any individual, let alone an elected official who is held to a higher standard and expected to set an example for the community and constituents."

Ford made the contentious remarks while wearing a Toronto Argonauts jersey, which prompted a rebuke from the CFL team.

"These latest remarks, while wearing our team's jersey, are particularly disappointing given our organization's work in the community to help youth deal with issues of bullying prevention," the team said in a statement. The mayor is well known for his love of football.

Another challenging day

Ford's behaviour appeared to make it clearer still, despite continual allegations and public embarrassment, that he has no intentions of relinquishing his post.

City council must decide how to continue operating after Wednesday's dramatic pleas from councillors for the mayor to seek treatment for alleged substance abuse.

He faces yet another challenging day at Toronto City Hall on Thursday following the release of more police documents alleging disturbing details about the mayor's erratic behaviour.

Meanwhile, City of Toronto spokeswoman Jackie DeSouza said Thursday that all school trips to city hall would be relocated for several days, citing the presence of large crowds of media and others that could create a potentially unsafe environment for children.

School trips will instead be sent to the Toronto Archives due to "health concerns," DeSouza said.

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne also comme...he turmoil at city hall on Thursday, calling the situation with the mayor "disturbing" and saying she would consider intervening if the municipality came to the province seeking action. She added that she would be compelled first to consult with opposition party leaders before any intervention.

Ford has repeatedly refused to step aside, even after admitting last week that he had smoked crack cocaine about a year ago possibly while drunk..

"I can't change the past," he said in council Wednesday. "All I can do is move on and that's what I'm doing."

But apologies are not enough, according to Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly, who says Ford has lost the "moral authority" to lead.

"It's not enough because it doesn't address the major issues in his life and the life of this council," Kelly said Thursday morning on CBC's Metro Morning.

"He must take a leave of absence in order to rehabilitate himself."

Ford has also repeatedly denied having a drug or alcohol problem.

The latest allegations contained in the new parts of the police report released Wednesday have not been proven in court. They come from police interviews with Ford staffers that were blacked out when the Alexander Lisi search warrant information was first made public on Oct. 30.

Lisi, also known as Sandro and Alessandro, is known as Ford's friend and occasional driver. He's now facing drug charges and an extortion charge.

Special meeting set

According to portions of the police report released Wednesday, the mayor was allegedly involved with a suspected prostitute and allegedly tussled physically with his staff.

CANADA-TORONTO/MAYOR

Ford still chairs the powerful executive committee, but a special meeting is set for Friday, in which his council colleagues will decide whether to strip Ford of his power to appoint and fire committee chairs.

Coun. John Filion will also move to strip Ford of his emergency powers and pass them to the deputy mayor, Norm Kelly.

"The mayor does not appear to be in a state to be able to deal with an emergency right now," Filion said.

Even so, Ford will not be silenced nor will he be sidelined, pointed out Coun. Anthony Perruzza.

"He continues to be the chief magistrate of the city; he continues to have signing powers," he said.

Meanwhile, Ford is mostly isolated at city hall, as calls for his resignation continue to grow.

Also on Thursday, 24-hour news channel Sun TV said it is putting Ford and his brother, Coun. Doug Ford, back on the air. The Fords will "pick up where they left off" after their call-in radio show recently ended its run on local radio station CFRB 1010, the channel said in a statement.

The new show, Ford Nation, will debut on Monday

Well maybe she serevs a pungent dish. I guess its not a fatty on fatty crack tho. I apologize for that. I suppose she's just more into it into it than him. In all actuallity I think he was just coming off as a braggart...and they're home sex life is probably a bit stagnant...or he wouldn't be running around in the hood, drunk and on crack...hiring hookers. What the hay...maybe they have an open relationship...her facial expression doesn't seem to support that idea however.

I hope so. nod However, her body language on that photo speaks volumes. She gives off that "I'm a doormat" vibe. Here's hoping she has a strong someone in her life that will come along side her and exhort her to do the right thing. Sometimes, people are so abused & run over that they don't have strength anymore. They need a true friend to come along side them, encourage them & speak the truth.

*

Obviously, that doesn't mean that she will do the right thing even after the exhortation. However, it would be nice if there was a special someone in her life who would do that. smile

This is great news. Maybe now the circus surrounding him will die down a little and the city can get on with it's business.
