THIS TIME IS TRUE: Disney is going to take care of Indiana Jones V

"The Walt Disney Studios and Paramount Pictures have reached a distribution and marketing agreement for the Indiana Jones franchise.

Under the arrangement, Disney gains distribution and marketing rights to future films, in addition to retaining the ownership rights it secured when it acquired Lucasfilm.

Paramount will continue to be responsible for distribution of the first four films in the franchise and will receive a financial participation on any future films that are produced and released."

I would be down for a V with Harrison maybe a VI but really why not get a new actor to play the roll. It worked for James Bond and Superman and Batman... why not Indy?!

Is there really a need for a franchise, really the first one was great, the third one was okay but the other 2 were shit.

It will only happen if ford pushes for it. The main interest in Disney is Star Wars, because that brings in the money.

I also want the next Indy movie to take place in the 60's, so Indy can say(an old fart way), "A bunch of long hairs." And then have his son show up with long hair.

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Harrison Ford is like 90 now, right? Ok, that wasn't very nice, but seriously. Unless a new actor is going to take over the central role, this is a long gap between these movies. (Sorry, I forgot about the last one made just a handful of years ago. That should tell you something right there) In no way is the same energy and excitment going to be this new movie. It happens time and time again, egos get all wrapped up in these things, the whole "I can do it" thing, when in reality that ship has sailed, do something else, open a new chapter, anything.

Much better to me would be the idea that was kicked around of a Mutt Williams movie.

I saw nothing wrong with Harrison's performance in the last film, it was the shitty plot and worse cgi that ruined it.

Always liked Indiana Jones better than star wars

I'd say the first was cool, the second introduced an intensity of action scene after action scene that had never happened in movies before, I remember we all noted it at the time (although now this many years down the line, it's completely normal to have the ramping action that gets ridiculous). I'd say that was cool about the second one.

The third one was stupid, cutesy trash. I can't watch it. Just like I can't watch Return of the Jedi. I used to say it was like Disney made em... oh wait... shit. I can't think of one scene in the third I liked. Oh, maybe the beginning when he's young. When he's a scout.

The fourth was a bit dysfunctional and didn't have any real texture to it. Depressing. But it did have a decent portion at the university. That part felt like the first.
