Sylvia was most definitely a controversial figure. Personally i think she probably had some psychic abilities but i also think that she was sort of a fraud. If that makes any sense.

World famous psychic Sylvia Browne is dead at the age of 77, according to her website.

Browne, who made appearances on programs like "Larry King Live" and "Unsolved Mysteries," died Wednesday morning in San Jose, California, the site reported.

Her son, Chris, confirmed her death to TMZ, saying she passed away while surrounded by family and friends.

For more than 17 years, Browne, who grew up in Kansas City, Mo., charmed TV viewers with her claimed spiritual psychic ability self-realized at the age of 3, according to her website.

Browne appeared on many national programs, including Jay Leno's show. She is seen with him here in 2009.

"For many years she shared her gift with friends and family, gaining a reputation for accuracy with her trademark down-to-earth approach and sense of humor and became very well-known for helping people even before moving to California in 1964," according to her site.

She went on to author dozens of books and publications, some including topics of the afterlife for both humans and pets, dreams, healing, end of the world predictions and prophecies, and "Angels, Guides and Ghosts."

Browne made headlines after falsely claiming in 2004 that one of the Cleveland kidnapping victims, Amanda Berry, was dead.

“She’s not alive, honey,” Browne told mom Louwanna Miller on “The Montel Williams Show.”

I'm not gonna lie I was hooked to "Sylvia Browne Wednesdays" on The Montel show. I'd watch it or DVR it. Sylvia took what gift(s) she had and morphed them into Powers she could never posses. There are MILLIONS of hurting people that want to know if their deceased Loved ones are okay. Sylvia took advantage of people that were vulnerable. I NEVER believed she could see dead people standing behind guests and her Quick-wit-Funny replies was just Shit she'd throw out to hurting guests. She was quite the comic & Entertainer. She made LOTS of money and she abused the Gift she was given by lying about Gifts she did not have.

She has a book called "Afterlives of the Rich and Famous"

Browne interviews stars who have passed over to the other side, chanelling their messages through her Aztec-Inca spirit guide, Francine. Princess Diana, John Lennon, Heath Ledger and Marilyn Monroe are just some of the big names lining up to get through' Spirit and Destiny

I think i read somewhere she say Michael Jackson plays golf with John F. Kennedy in the afterlife

Co-signing all of THAT^. And lets not forget that George Noory put Syliva on lifetime ban from Coast To Coast AM because more than half of her "psychic predictions" she made as a guest on the show were wrong.

she made money off of peoples desperation to find a loved one that was missing, etc....you can't get much more cruel than that. she told so many lies to folks.

Wait a minute...There's more to tell..There were Christian Prophets in the Bible that did have "visions" in their dreams...There were also FALSE Prophets who worshiped the Devil and summoned up Demons. Those same Legit & False Prophets are now called "Psychics"..Christian Prophets do not refer to themselves as "Psychics"...The Gift of "Visions" has been passed down for Generations since the Biblical days. It's how you use that Gift that detemines whether or not you're a False Prophet or not. I believe every Family has or had 1 or more family members that has the Gift of Sight/Visions and see things in their Dreams. Most people don't realize they have the Gift and write it off as just ongoing crazy Dreams.....

I did stay on topic. My original comment had to do with Sylvia Browne & her "career". It was relevant.

Btw, my first post didn't require a response from anyone. It was relevant to the conversation & just my 2 cents. Just because I mentioned something from the Bible in my first post does not mean that it was intended to start a religious conversation.
