I have a secret pumpkin pie recipe. Even people who generally don't like pumpkin pie like this one.
I made 7 pies - neighbors, friends, started knowing about it and want some, so I had to make enough. |

Once I bought some (3 Thanksgivings ago) my kids won't go near cranberry.

No purple sweet potato pie this weekend. Even though I tried to keep a limited menu I still ended up with a lot of food (others bringing food). I always feel guilty at this point and lose any enthusiasm to cook anything. It is ridiculous. Maybe I'll try in the next couple of weeks. Even though I don't like macadamians and hardly ever eat them I think a topping of them would add interest. |

that does sound good! i thought about a nut crust but have yet to try that. Coconut oil worked really well in place of butter in the crust. flowing through the veins of the tree of life...purplemaplesyrup |

I like it! Got it Wednesday, and last night I pulled my Thanksgiving dinner left-overs from the freezer for seconds. I left the can of jellied in the fridge and grabbed the jar of jam instead. Nice and cold. It's delicious! It's very good, but jellied cranberry sauce in the can is still my favorite. It's a bit sweeter and I love the texture. But I'm glad I have both. Thanks! What? |
