I'm making parmesan crusted chicken. Had a dress rehearsal last nite since I hadn't tried the recipe before. Pretty good if I must say so. And not too difficult to make.

A mess. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

Maybe this weekend. I can see my family's face now :horror: Since I started brining my turkeys everybody wants turkey on turkey day, so that's easy. [Edited 11/26/13 0:35am]

Purple Sweet Potatoes Turn Pie
into Possible Cancer-Fighting Food
“Pumpkins and orange-fleshed sweet potatoes are high in carotenoids — vitamin A precursors. But the purple potatoes have higher levels of anthocyanins, dietary fiber, and vitamins. And they are naturally sweeter, so we can cut down on the sugar content,” Lim said.http://foodsci.k-state.ed...nter11.pdf [Edited 11/26/13 11:08am]

Turkey, stuffing (separately made), cranberry sauce-made with rum, collard greens, wild rice, macaroni&cheese, candies yams, stuffed acorn squash (stuffing made with apples, cinnamon, brown sugar), flan-orange, pinapple upside down cake, tembleque....
I think that's it. No spiral cut ham... there will be bacon in my mac n cheese... like 4 cheeses.
Taking the collard greens and cranberries sauce and desserts to my sisters... making double of those to share... the rest, me and my three will devour.

Nothing like the other 96% of the worlds population that does not celebrate Thanksgiving.
Its funny how you have it, as the Indians virtually had their land stolen and nearly wiped out by the greed of the colonists. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Well, I would think that at any given month some country somewhere is celebrating something that 90+% of the world doesn't know about, so I guess they should stop celebrating anything until they get the world's approval on it first.

As per request from my guy's family:
Brussels sprouts with carmelized shallots "Puppy chow" - a midwestern delicacy made from Crispex cereal coated with melted peanut butter and chocolate and then covered with confectioner's sugar
They usually also have mac & cheese, green beans, salad, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey, and pie for dessert.
I'm not really into Thanksgiving. One year I spent the holiday moving across the hall (from one apartment to a new one), doing my laundry, and watching movies. It was great! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
