SAMUEL ADAMS UTOPIAS 2013 AVAILABLE FOR ORDER NOVEMBER 22

The rare and revered Samuel Adams Utopias – 2013 edition – will be available for order from the LCBO starting Friday, November 22. The 710mL bottle will sell for $114.95.

The LCBO will have approximately 600 bottles available, which is 50 per cent, or 200 bottles more, than offered for the 2012 10th anniversary batch released in February.

Beer collectors and connoisseurs already know Utopias is unique among beers, given it is blended with a variety of brews, some of which have been aged in different wood barrels for more than 20 years. The 2013 batch marks the first time the product was blended with Samuel Adams Kosmic Mother Funk, or KMF, a unique, barrel-aged ale that is aged for a minimum of nine months and up to two years in Hungarian oak tuns. In addition, the brewers also aged a portion of the 2013 release in port casks from Portugal.
