I liked him back when he was something of a novelty on Channel 4 but these days I find his humor a tad too crass and vulgar and it seems to build on the same tired formula, i.e ethnic stereotypes.

This being said, I think he is a very smart guy and I would´ve loved to see him as Freddie Mercury in the planned biographical film. Too bad that he won´t play that part, he would´ve been the perfect choice as far as looks go and I think he would´ve made a fantastic Freddie Mercury and it would´ve been interesting to see him in a serious role. This could have been the perfect way for him to kickstart a more "serious" acting career after his horrible Borat and Brüno movies.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

boxed I liked Ali G. I can't say I'm a fan of his work but Borat was okay.

I liked him until dictator. Tho somewhat different than his others...still fundamentally the same and I felt a trend for a lack of growth. I won't check another out until that trend is explicitly broken. Jes a smart guy...I know he can switch it up....please do so.

I liked all his movies so far, maybe Ali G least.

I KNOW they are terrible cultural stereotypes but I guess I am a bad person that I can laugh at it - and I laugh A LOT err lol

Loved Da Ali G show. Absolutely brilliant (as his people would say)

Borat was equally great. Consistently hilarious and hits the mark in poking fun at those who react to his character.

The earlier (and lesser known) Ali G movie is pretty funny, but also really dumb. It would be easy to miss how edgy he really is just based on that one.

Bruno was not my favorite. I felt he stopped bringing out the stupidity of others and instead was simply annoying. People reacted to his antics as they should have reacted, whereas people showed prejudice and ignorance when reacting to Borat. That made Borat effective social commentary as well as comedy. The one huge exception was when Bruno was in the cage fight at the end. That kind of thing is what SBC is all about.

The Dictator was pretty funny. More like the Ali G movie. A bit silly, but still good.

Ali G & Borat were both great!

Bruno... nah big nah. I mean it has funny moments but you can tell it's way more staged than Ali G or Borat. And that kind of takes away the charm a bit...

He was alright in Sweeny Todd & Talladega as well.

exactly what scenes??? other than the (hilarious) scene with that nasty blonde dominatrix of the swingers party, the rest of the mockumentary seemed legit...

funny how people liked Ali G, I thought it was as bad/forced as a Stiller/Sandler movie...

He was fantastic in Les Mis

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Never seen any of them except when he was in "Talledega Nights". He was funny in that movie.

I don't think, based on what I've heard about his humor, that his movies would be my cup of tea. But I could be wrong.

do NOT watch his movies if:

a) you lack the (healthy) abbility to laugh at (certain aspects of) your own country

b) male genitalia shown in non-porn movies grosses you out to the point of switching off the tv
